Hi. I want to do exactly this on exactly this machine. Do you know where I could get a hold of a image to clone beforehand so I can load on the new drive?

Help! Thanks to your video, I found the courage to do this again! And I'm hoping you might be able to help with 1, or all 3 of my devices. Last summer, the 1TB HDD in my Asus q405ua crashed. It was supposed to be able to run a hybrid system, or one or the other. I could only afford to replace it with one at the time, so I opted for the SSD and got the ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB 3D NAND NVMe Gen3x4 PCIe M.2 2280, but the system wouldn't recognize it. Desperate for a working system, I grabbed a 500GB WD Blue HDD, but never got it to work with the SSD. I had to replace the touchscreen, but before I had a chance to change the settings to work for the touchscreen again, an unwelcomed guest broke the new one, and I finally realized that laptop and I weren't destined to be friends. I don't know if you're familiar with that system, but it being my first solo hands on experience, I was ready to give up on the whole DIY option. I began searching for a system I could be happy with out of the box, which does not exist in a price range I can afford, but I came very close when I found A renewed system on Amazon. In addition to my $800 Asus paperweight, I now have an HP 1030 x360 G2. For all intents and purposes, the 16 gigs of RAM makes this system come pretty close to being all I wanted in a machine but the 512 GB hard drive is a hindrance in less than 3 months time. My 1TB hard drive in the Asus was 3/4 full prior to its crash so I should have known better then to think this would last me very long. After watching your video and how easy it looked to upgrade the system, I decided I would try one more time. However, after the unsuccessful attempt at an SSD upgrade in the Asus, I can't hit the order now button on any of the m.2 drives no matter how much research I do make sure that I have the right one. I just need somebody tell me that all of the letters and numbers and acronyms, etc. Are going to work, regardless of their order. I thought about trying The 1TB I purchased for the Asus, but again, sticking my hands back in that machine is a nightmare to even think about, so if slash when I do, I want it to be for a purpose other than testing something that I already know isn't going to be big enough. I am planning on getting a 2TB or the HP and hope it will last me at least a year or two before I have to move on to bigger and better things, and I also have other plans for that 1TB SSD with my daughter's laptop, and I'm hoping you might be able to answer the same question about that for me so I know if it's worth digging it out of my old one to try and hers. Very long story short, what 2 TB SSD do I need for this HP? In addition, my daughter's laptop is the Asus tp401m was barely enough memory or storage to be useful, but for some reason she absolutely loves this and when her first one quit, she asked for the exact same one regardless. It got here last week, and it is still sealed in the box because I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet. It is my understanding that both RAM and Storage is upgradable in the system, but that is very strange to me considering the commonality with it and my Asus which was very limited as far as the upgrade options go. So before I go spend the rest of my life savings on all of these pieces and parts to upgrade the two new, and possibly fix my old system, I would like someone who knows what they're doing tell me what I need to be doing, because the consistency, or lack thereof, of information regarding any of this online has been defeating, to say the least, and the constant reminder of either my inability, or lack of compatibility of the pieces and parts laying around my house with absolutely no use at this point is painful to look at everyday. Your video was amazing and will be a great help already, I would owe you the world if you could help with anything else! Thank you
