how we can boot our HP EliteBook 8470 laptop from bootable windows usb
To boot from a USB drive on an HP EliteBook 8470p, you'll need to access the BIOS or UEFI settings during startup and modify the boot order. Follow these steps:
Insert the USB Drive: Plug in your USB drive containing the bootable operating system or software.
Power On or Restart: Start or restart your HP EliteBook 8470p.
Access BIOS/UEFI Settings: As the computer starts up, watch for a message on the screen that indicates the key you need to press to access the BIOS or UEFI settings. Common keys are F2, F10, F12, or Esc. Quickly press the appropriate key.
Navigate to Boot Options: Once you're in the BIOS/UEFI settings, use the keyboard arrow keys to navigate to the "Boot" or "Boot Options" section. This might vary based on your BIOS version.
Adjust Boot Order: In the boot options, you'll see a list of devices that the computer can boot from. Look for the option that corresponds to your USB drive. It might be listed as a USB drive, removable drive, or something similar.
Change Boot Priority: Move the USB drive to the top of the boot priority list. This can usually be done by selecting the USB drive and moving it using the designated key (often F5/F6) to the top position.
Save Changes: After you've adjusted the boot order, save your changes. Typically, you can do this by pressing a key like F10 to save and exit.
Restart: Your computer will now restart. Make sure the USB drive is still connected.
Boot from USB: The computer should now boot from the USB drive. If the USB drive contains a bootable operating system or software, you will see it load on the screen.
Remember that BIOS/UEFI settings and their options can vary depending on the manufacturer and model. If you encounter any issues, refer to the user manual for your HP EliteBook 8470p or search online for specific instructions related to your BIOS version.
Additionally, be cautious when making changes in the BIOS/UEFI settings, as incorrect adjustments can affect the functionality of your computer.

this setting only for legacy mode, but if you want to boot in UEFI mode you have to prepare bootable USB with UEFI settings before copying windows 10 image to usb
