got the same laptop ! i've had it for years now. no upgrades yet only cleaned it a couple of times. still works like a champ !

i'm glad you removed the heatsink, so I could see for myself how badly they fucked up the thermal paste. no longer a question of IF this is major part of why this is a noisy-when-idling laptop.

I took apart completely and when I was putting my screen back on I put both hinge screws in. After I did so and tried folding it down to work on getting the rest back together, it snapped off the plastic part extremely easily. I am going to get a replacement part, but do you have any ideas how to fix this going forward? Ill be extremely scared to do that again.

This is not a fan cleaning but a complete disassembly video.I lost count how many srcrews he removed.

Thanks for this video. It helps me to opnen it and cleaning the fan area.

I have the same laptop, the screen is broken on the left, I get only a white field. When connecting an external display, it shuts down after a few seconds. I took the hard drive out and booted linux off a USB drive, same issue. Is the CPU overheating? The fins of the fan seem to be clear, I also applied new thermal paste (stuff I use for transistors), tried to cool the heat sink even with an ice pack, same issue. The issue occurred before the screen broke. Any tips what I should look for? Not sure if it's worth it to replace the screen.

He obviously had no intention of ever putting that thing back together -- at least with the right screws in the right places.

i had the power supply go bad on this model, it sat for years before i could get another power supply(money issues), well we got one on amazon, and for an hour it worked fine, then the screen just went completely black like it was off, i cant power on, if i plug it in and have the battery in, ill get some of the lights going but that is, what might have happened? do i have to change the motherboard?

after this operation is it needed format to the pc. i have 8570w and it starts to get warm so i would like to disassembel it and change the pastes for gpu and cpu but i dont want to format it now.

There's one component that's boggling my mind. It looks as though it's part of the optical drive. The first screw he removes and removes the part at 4:14 . What is it and what are the buttons for? (Upgraded mine to SSD.....boots and runs soo much faster...next is memory)

8560p has water resistant keyboard

This video has its uses, I guess. Guy can't even bring himself to position the camera so that the whole laptop is in it. And it's misnamed. Still, he's very good at removing screws.
