HI I wanted to take your opinion, on whether to buy elitebook 840 g3, since I have a heavy usage and higher resolution files to edit using the softwares adobe photoshop CC 2017, illustrator CC 2017 and artrage digital painting software. Will it be able to handle the workload without crashes and lags if it comes with the following specs: 16 GB RAM DDR4, 256 GB M.2 SSD + another 500 GB SSD Internally installed, and an Intel 520 graphic chip, and an i7 6th generation model? So should I get it for editing?

@@saadsaif821 Which higher resolution exactly? If you are talking about 100 MP or less, you should be fine. Some extra high resolutions (i.e. for printouts on trucks or buildings) then you will have to get more RAM or spend some more time waiting for renders and effects to take place. In general, for photo editing, those specs are more than enough.

Excellent video! Very thorough review of the performance of the HP840G2- which I am currently considering purchasing. Thank you for also showing the bottom of the PC, along with its internals. Most PC review videos usually don’t show these two very important aspects of the machine. Have you had any problems with heating or fan noise? Again, thank you for posting.

Both of those software packages and especially premier pro require strong and good CPU (for rendering and live preview). So, i would choose the model with stronger CPU (at least i5 but better i7 if possible). Also, graphic card will play a big role of you work with high resolutions (UHD,,,). Consider as well that model with SSD drive will load os and perform disk operations faster. 8470p is heavier than 840 G1 so if mobility is important to you than it will be much easier to carry 840 G1 around. Laptop are not best tools for video editing but if you have to chose one, go for the one with stronger CPU (google benchmarks).

I have one of these, Im thinking of selling it. Dont get me wrong, it is a good machine that runs well. Its just large and heavy. But when I saw that I could get a convertible tablet that is up to date for today, and more convenient to handle, I decided thats just what I really wanted instead. I recently bought a refurbished Dell Latitude 7350. It does everything the HP can, but detaches into a tablet which comes in very handy when needed. And is a smaller and slightly lighter machine. Oh yeah, and with an upgraded M-core processor. I was very happy with the HP for what it does but I just wanted more the form factor of the Dell.

Fire beat I bought Lenovo ThinkPad T450s 3 months ago, and I love it! I have had many laptops, ASUS, HP ACER etc, but the T450s is the first laptop I actually love! Get a T450s with a 1920 full HD Screen and you won't be disappointed!

Both laptops have the same maximum processing cores at 2. The HP EliteBook 840 G3 has a larger base core processing frequency at 2.5 GHz. If you're after more storage, the HP EliteBook 840 G3 offers up to 512 GB storage compared to only 240 GB in the HP EliteBook 820 G3.We tested real-world gaming by playing League of Legends, and found the 820 to be adequate, but nothing more. At the display's native resolution of 1366 x 768, and with the game at medium detail, we received an average framerate of 42 with a minimum of 33 and maximum of 49.(Is HP 840 G1 good?)The HP EliteBook 840 G1 is a great laptop for personal and office use. If you are still in the market for a professional notebook computer, then this will be a good option. As a result the hp840 G1 is better? What do you think?

Sure, if you produce full hd videos. Processing of 4K videos - maybe model with i7 and dedicated graphic card, but that is the questionable as well. 4K processing will probably not be so smooth on this 4+ years old model.

Is it normal for the fan to be a bit loud, turn on multiple times, very annoying. It is cleaned in the inside and everything, I can have like 1 or 2 windows open and it turns on alot.

CrossingFires it is stil great. I added in the meantime more ram and ssd drive though. Refurbished devices are always gamble. It could be great but it could be a "lemon" as well. If some warranty is offered for refurbished device, then risk is lower.
