While a convertible is perfect for my needs, if it doesn't t have the specs it is still unusable to me. The U-series CPUs, while good, aren't great. And the lack of even an MX150 gpu is a shame, especially in a laptop this expensive. For the money I would still go with the Lenovo X1 Extreme, giving up the convertible versatility for a laptop I could actually use. That said, the Spectre X360 is going to be (allegedly) released with an i7-8750H cpu and gtx 1050 ti max-q graphics - that might be a better choice for anyone who wants a convertible with some muscle.

I got a new Eltibook 1040 x360 g5 with sure view and 700 nits matte screen. It has terrible angle of view even if the sureview is disabled to the point where it is unusable. If you move your head a little the heavy vignetting/banding will follow your movement in a very distracting way. I have posted a video here kzread.info/dash/bejne/c4pksq6gm7jgqLw.html
