It should be compatible to every laptop once is connected to WiFi. Can I ask if you have Google play store app on your Chrome books?

OK if you get your printer look for the software from the Google play store, download it and follow the instructions to connect. I have videos how to connect and setup so many printers, good luck.

Amazon told me I didn't have to do that.do I need to down load a program/ service to print?

Yes you need to download HP smart app on your tablet and connect your printer and tablet to the same WiFi network to be able to print with your tablet, the other option is to connect your tablet to the printer using on the go (OTG) cable then download Printershare app to connect the tablet and printer together without WiFi and printer from the tablet.

Don’t buy this. Not even worth the frustration. The connection on this thing is so poor.

Chey By if you need help to connect your printer let us know. I did not have any problem connecting this printer. By the way if there is problem with it you can contact HP store where you bought your printer for advice and support. On this platform I am only trying to help others who may need support.
