OmG! I’ve had the same deskjet 2630 and same laptop for uni the last 3 years. Started a new year switching it on the printer wouldn’t connect to Wi-Fi. Trawling internet, utube and help and support still Wouldn’t connect! Today I’m desperately needed to print and thought I’ll try that printer one last time before I bin it and buy a new one. Stumbled across your video and straight away it connected Wi-Fi to my laptop, phone AND printer. Thank you so much. If only I found you about 10 weeks ago ! Thanks again for easy, simple, straightforward video 🎉

Way to many steps for setup before able to print. Old printers direct cable connection was the easiest to install then just go using software was installed from CD . Whole process was done in a few minutes!👌👍

Can you print directly websites, does the printer time out or require to physically be turned on after a set amount of time?

Yes. You can print directly from websites. And no, the printer doesn’t time out. It goes into sleep mode when not being used, but comes to life when you send a print to it

Can you use a cable to manually print without The use of wifi?

We eventually got this set up and it worked fine. We switched it off for the night and the next morning, it would not work. Both lights were on , but on the laptop it showed as 'off line' . We fiddled for an hour with it, can't remember quite what, but it worked again. Switched off again and next day, same thing, 'off line' ! This time though I went into settings-Printer- troubleshooting. As soon as I went into this, without doing anything, it printed the item in the queue! I have read that these should be switched off, not so much for the power consumption, but to prevent the cartridges from drying out?

I haven’t seen this to be the case. I’ve left my printers on and the ink remained intact.

@brentwoodbay and @Reviewlamp : I have the same problem. Looks like when we switch off and on the printer next time it is assigned a new IP address. That is the reason it is not able to connect as HP Smart App for Windows is so DUMB. I had to remove and add the the printer again. However the android App works just fine and connect every time. So I m using my phone to print most of the things. I raised issue with HP support, but no solution, they keep asking me to reinstall and similar general stuff. They are not able to take back a technical feedback and always think users are dumb.

Do you have to install the app? I have another hp printer and all I need is to connect to the printers WiFi from my phone or computer and it will print directly no app needed. Is this the case with the hp deskjet 2755?

That will work, provided the printer has already been setup on that wifi network. The app is for the first-time setup of the printer

Printer will scan from hp smart but will not print,any ideas

You only need to install the HP smart software on that computer. No further setup is required.

whats going on here printer is printed Hp Deskjet 2755e and after installing Hp smart app is showing Hp Deskjet 2700 Series?

Yes. That’s normal. The 2755 is part of the 2700 series

For public wifi, I recommend just connecting to the printer directly with a USB cable like this: amzn.to/3KDgLx0
