HP 9100B Appearance in 'The Andromeda Strain'

In the Sci-Fi thriller 'The Andromeda Strain' from 1971, an HP 9100B calculator appears at the beginning, identifying the location of the outbreak. The location is pinpointed on a map by the HP 9125A plotter using some dramatic pen-up, pen-down motions.

It also appears on the movie Earth II of 1971. Back then it was very popular with the scientific community I believe.

Indeed, and it appears quite prominently. The HP 9100 looks nice on that desk. However, it seems it's not used much during the whole movie.
