HP 15 CPU Fan Replacement
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This laptop fan noise is buzzing loud. Dust and dry thermal paste might have caused the heat not escaping out quickly enough.
Clean CPU fan and apply new thermal paste / pad will help the heat exhaust quickly and therefore the fan will not run on high speed all the time.

This is one of the very best how-to videos on the internet. You sir, are an excellent instructor! I have a new fan on my laptop that cost me $9 and a few minutes of my time. Thank you so much!
I typically don't leave comments, but your tutorial was spot-on and very helpful, and you deserve the praise. I had a small tag stuck in my fan blades, but I installed the new fan I bought, and now my laptop is quiet! You've been an enormous help; many thanks!
Thank you! You saved me a $200 repair
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial, I opened my laptop for the first time! A little daunting but I was able to replace the fan, I did make one error the inside fan screw was smaller than the others, I put the wrong one and closed the laptop! I reopened and tried to replace but wasn’t able to take it out so I just let it be😅😅😅😂. Appreciate your step by step directions.
Very helpful video, straight-forward and clear.
I was able to replace my fan! Thank you for the video
This is a very helpful video. I watched how you spun your original fan and mine was not. I kept moving it a bit and must have dislodged something and my fan spun. I cleaned it up with a small brush and it got past the HP fan check and booted up safely. I did not use the new fan I bought since the wires weren’t disconnecting easily. I got the new fan from Amazon as noted. It was also very useful to see you move the wires to unscrew the hidden screw keeping the fan in place. Thank you! P.S. I had added an SSD and RAM earlier and the computer work great with that upgrade.

You’re welcome 😊
Ty sir
I have that laptop and play The Sims 4 on it, what kind of graphic card do you suggest for game play?
Thanks a lot man I have the same laptop, I'm seething right now because, now I can see why my laptop was making the same noise, I found out one screw securing the fan was missing, the noise came from the fan touching the base of the laptop and causing a vibration. I think someone dropped the pc, can that really cause the fan to break lose?
Do you think I could install a second fan in my 15z eh100 (2021) laptop? I ask because to me when I take off back cover there sure seems like room to do it and about 3 months after I had it it started running hot and I have to set my CPU at 1700 mhz on or it'll kill itself when I compile aosp. Trying to think of a way to add a fan. I know it's not something suggested but sure appears to possibly fit... I may order a double fan assembly and just see if I can get it in the case. If so I'll report back and make a video. Lol
Am I supposed to use thermal paste when replacing the CPU fan? I have a 15-ba113cl
Where and how much thermal paste do you add?
I have the HP bs1xx what ventilator do I need because I was told any bs will do, no need to look for the number behind th3 bs.
Where have you bought this screw driver ?
do we need paste below the fan? '
Late question, can I use like for an example a fan from an Acer laptop if it fits and has the same amount of pins with my HP laptop?

@@UbergeeksBiz thanks for the help
It appears the typical laptop fan size is about 55mm. Is this fan larger than that? It tends to look like it is to me.

How did you disconnect the fan. Does it lift out or pull out because mine seems very tight at the connector

@@starlabunkley8483 I was asking because I had been looking for a slightly larger fan for a different pc model. On this one it looks like once you get all of the the screws out it should pop right out, although sometimes the factory has some gluish stuff holding it to the case outlet. If you are talking about the electrical connector, those are kind of a tight fit. If your fingernails wont work you should use something like a thin knife edge to work it out side to side carefully. You might want to look at some google images or other videos to see how those fit together. Best with laptops to take it easy, slow and careful, a lot of the parts are fragile.
Thermal paste?
