Get yourself someone who looks at you like Mavis looks at Hozier while he's singing. It's just so full of fondness and affection and pride and all the good things in this world. These people give me hope and somewhat restore my faith in humanity. I'm so grateful. ♥️
Not all men? You're right Hozier the forest man would never betray me.
"And they're not something that was ever granted freely. They are always something that was fought for." Extremely applicable to today's situation
Grandson-grandma relationship INTENSIFIESSSSSS

That made me cackle. XD
"A song like this is much needed." she said. And she was right. Right now it truly is desperately needed.
Queen Mavis is charmed and it's so adorable to see! I'd love for them to make an album together.
He's so humble, I absolutely love this man. All hail our forest king
"And they're not something that was ever granted freely. They are always something that was faught for." When he said that I felt that, it really shook me. Hes one of my favorite artist because of the soul and meaningfulness to his music, it's even more amazing that he is aware and is talking about it in his way. Its beautiful, his heart and soul is very inspiring and beautiful.
Mavis was 79 when she recorded this. Amazing! What a voice!
I really hold immense amount of respect for both of them. Thank you for putting so much power in this song💕
My forest king 💚
Their friendship is so sweet.
Yaaasss. My favorite side of Hozier. Talking about the things that *mean* something. Keep talking, bb. I'm listening.
can we get a video of the much deserved NFWMB, o king of nymphs?

PLEASE THIS IS 1000000% WHAT WE NEED
I just really love this song, Hozier is such a amazing singer and this lyrics are so powerful and delicate I can’t stop thinking about how rare is a artist like this who actually cares about those things . Two wondrous people I really admire, I’m from Brazil and I’m just loving the new songs and these interviews about then 💞💞💞

Gee. The name is a reference I believe to the singer Nina Simone, who was a jazz singer famous for fight for the civil rights and against the racial discrimination, her voice is just amazing I hardly recommend. And the hozier song, I think it’s about be attacked by prejudgment and talk about it , fight for equality and inspire others. I say that because a lot of people who hozier mentions on this song are strong symbols of resistance and protest, like B.B King ( who is another wonderful jazz singer ) Jonh Lennon , Bob Dylan and others. It’s really beautiful how he sings about this stuff and pass so many emotions through his voice. This song talks about love and tells the oppressed minorities “ you can do it, you make a diference, you have power “. Ahhh it my opinion, I hope I have been able to help >.< ;)

He has the voice I wanna fall in love, escape, heal, & die to all in one. It just makes me feel like our souls are connected to each other it's rare someone has the ability to make you feel this way through their music
A powerful song sung by soulful people. I'm here for this.
When you hear someone sing and you get goosebumps everywhere... I love this man, he could sing the dictionary and I’d stand there mesmerised .
LOVE his talk, 😍✨👌💙💜🌻 Damn his voice too✨
This song deserves a Grammy
This song is really needed and will be until there is equality for all. We need artists/athlets/ people with a voice to push for eqality! People using their voices for the long haul!
Insane appreciation of these videos
Hozier and Mavis! Power!!
Hozier just gets better and better
He's so shy Oml ❤
Take us to Church Soul man.👏👏👏👏👏✊🙏
His music taste is flawless. All the people he listed wow

Was just hearing it on my music player.💙
I love this kind of videos, I love the "making of" and see Hozier on a studio doing a masterpiece ❤️
Mavis is a one LIVING LEGEND, she is simply wonderful! Legendary Diva! And in lyrics, REFERENCES to LEGENDARY singers, in highlights the unbelievable Patti LaBelle, the best Singer of ALL time!
What we have to lose needs to be addressed now, yes. ...and what we are capable of becoming as rational creatures who can interpret and moderate our emotions and reactions to anything and everything is just as important. Thank you for this!
ugh this song gives me chills
Chills... there is something incredibly beautiful and unexplainable in these souls.... that they can express it so we can grab I little bit of it is so enriching and valuable.... maybe even essential. Yes this magnificent💚
That's why i love him so much. This is really important.
Wow. Can you imagine someone being as gorgeous and talented as him? Yep, me neither.
Love this song
Absolutely beautiful... ❤️
Such a brilliant message

"It's much needed". (Thank you for this Hozier and Mavis)
I'm learning that it's all about finding the majestic in the mundane. Thank you for sharing your God given gifts; YOU are needed in our society!

Még mindig tetszik, szuper, köszi!
Mavis has such a beautiful smile.
this type of song is much needed these days, Jesus is like, listen to Hozier if you have ears.
I LOVE HOZIER!
Watching this in june of 2020 and mavis was definitely right. This song just gets more and more relevant
The best ❤️
I love horses so much I love his music and this is a epic song and I do see this song bringing everyone together. But it's up to us to make sure that it happens. Even if we don't know someone love them you never know how much that might mean to them some people need guidance and ready to give up but if we are there for one another it would be a better place. Love y'all 😘
Hoizer has a very unique voice 🔥🔥
this work for justice and peace is needed as we go into 2021 post COVID (hopefully). I would pay for a documentary with both of this kind souls.
Have you all noticed the fierce joy with which he sings? The topic they are singing about is fraught, but it feels like he is just so happy to share his heart with us.
Seeing an opportunity in the hopelessness- that’s how revolutions start.
Que voz tan angelical
❤❤❤❤
Guys, stop writing comments about how amazing Hozier and Mavis are. I’m tired of liking them all.
🙌🏻
Im gonna marry his voice.
Here in 2020, needing all of this.
When you have to rewatch the video because you accidentally sang along to the song instead of paying attention
❤

HOZIER👉💙💛❤👏✌👐
BOOM CHEERS
😊
"and this song today is just as more relevant as it has ever been, we're living in trying times" take that from a 60s civil rights movement leader
Hozier, egyre jobban tetszik a zenéd, hangod, előadásod, köszönöm, várom a többit!
You know that his songs are meant to explain cause there are stories behind it.
Who else cried power? I’m sure most of us have some song heroes.

Also idk why but this song makes me think of lion king lmao. I know. Weird.
I'm wondering if this is about Nina Simone

It is a reference to one of her songs; "sinnerman" where she literally "cries power" in the chorous
You have a fantastic voice and on stage you sing this song in a down tone...WHY??? :(((
I have unsubscribed from you five times already, why do your videos keep showing up on my feed?
❤❤❤❤
