i still watch it from time to time .

I always thought the brilliance of how they wrote murdoch was that he definitely was the comic relief, but the reason he acted this way because he had severe PTSD from the war and probably was scarred mentally, which gives this funny character a real dark edge.

The interaction between Murdock and BA was priceless. I would love to see any out takes from the show. Mr. Tee had a sense of humor and probably lost it on many occasions.

Yes, what a shame they didn't keep a blooper reel - they could have sold that thing on DVD for good money!

I like to believe he is sane and just faking the insanity to mess with everyone in the team

Watched the a team all the time as a kid. Now my 2 children love it. Howling Murdock is their fav true legend. 🤣🤣🤣

Dwight Schultz seriously deserved an Emmy for playing such a convincing goofball.

You’re the only person who I’ve seen written about them being deprived of well deserved Emmys. The show as a whole deserved it but there were specific episodes that it is criminal they didn’t get Emmys for. Some examples that come to my mind include Family Reunion- the scene between Murdoch and Face when it comes out that Murdoch didn’t tell Face that the guy was his father. Face’s anger, sense of betrayal, etc and Murdoch’s hurt and internal conflict over when to tell him. That was a phenomenal acting there. The episode where Murdoch takes the bullet for Hannibal and the lessons on Brotherhood, loyalty, sacrifice. The Vietnam scenes where they’re back in country, The acting that Dirk did when he got shot, and on and on. So even though it was entertaining and the humor was as good as ANYTHING that has EVER been broadcast on TV, there was real substance too. They were cheated out of Emmys because Hollywood didn’t like the show or the actors and the Network gave them no support.

Dwight Shultz has been most underrated comedian that hurts fans like me a lot.

He's more than a comedian, though. He's also excellent at drama. His greatest skill is his ability to roll the two together in the same scene, and be perfectly believable every moment.

Dwight Shultz is not reminscent of anyone. HE IS AN ORIGINAL

i don’t know about you but i didn’t like the movie , i think i got about 10 minutes into it and shut it off .

Something I read about Murdock on Wikipedia is that he is either mentally unstable or very good at making people think he is. I would say that he is very good at making people think he is.
