Man I can’t tell you the amount of times I talk to cliff down at the Oakland games the first game I ever went I was probably 7 seen him at raider image and he let me and my sister try on his Super Bowl ring was one of the best memories from going down to the games

Howie was my first favorite player. I was a massive Howie fan as a kid. I was so pumped when we got Maxx. I told my son. That's the best pick they made in decades. I just had a feeling about Maxx!

This pod cast is the greatest of all time. Im 51 almost 52. I idolized Howie as a young player. Howie's jersey is the first NFL jersey I ever owned. Its the only jersey I ever wanted. Then came MAXX! I have both now and wear them proudly every time I put them on. This is for me ? Watching the 2 greatest men to ever play the game. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this. This is Legendary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DAMN!!! Gets me jacked up to hear Howie talk about his raiders and give Maxx his flowers. Also, loved how the boys just let Howie talk. He’s a legend that knows what he is talking about. Let the man speak. Awesome episode.

Being old has its perks. I'm 51. I got to see Howie up close in person. Like up close in person. I live here in Western New York. So the Raiders came up here a few different times and played the Bills. Before tickets cost as much as a brand new car. I would always be front row right next to the raiders bench. Have many many pictures of it.

Howie had the quickest getoff for an interior D Lineman that I’ve ever seen. He played like he knew the snap count better than opposing OL. Game wrecker

YES! The man, the legend the icon...Howie. One of my favorite Raiders ever. He was one of the last true renegade Raiders.

Howie brought up a bigg point about recreating the culture. The alumni resonated with that and even THEY bought in ...that was the Crosby-Pierce difference. They too were included in the post game gatherings and nodded approval. This was a nice touch to bring in Long , who was the LAST Oakland Raider drafted before the eventual move to Vegas. Crosby was the last Oakland Raider before the move to Vega$ . I am hoping Crosby is the foreshadowing of ftuture greatness for the Raiderds.
I remember when Al drafted this kid out of a small school. Nobody thought much of him then. Just like Maxx. when he came into the league. These two are cut from the same cloth. Maxx will join Howie one day in the HOF as one of if not the greatest Raider ever to lace em up in Maxx Crosby!
That was so good. I have been a Raider fan since 76 and watched Howie's whole career. The guy is a stud and a legend, and Maxx is headed in the same direction. Two great Raiders chopping it up, what could be better? Howie had some great stories and had me laughing. Thanks guys, well done.

I really appreciate this one MAXX. I use to love watching Howie play and like many have mentioned, I could listen to Howie talk football all day, he is bad ass in his movies also😂 RAAAAAIDERS!!
He has been a class act since he made it to television. What a truly great representative of the NFL, at many different levels. It is why he is a HOF player. He is a HOF person first.

I needed this today. Howie has always been my favorite Defensive Lineman next to Maxx. I watched him get triple teamed by Denver once..it was like he just walked through 3 players...powered his way and sacked Elway!! It was like a Giant in black stomping around them....like "I WALK AMONG YOU!!! I GO WHERE I WANT"!! MAXX EFFORT MAXX DETERMINATION!! MAXX COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE!!!! I wish Al Davis was alive to see Maxx play!! EDIT: I cried when the Raiders beat the Skins for Super Bowl 18! I was 18 years old. I WOULD LOVE to see my Raiders win one last super bowl before I die. 2nd EDIT: Howie is right! there are guys you just don't trade! Maxx is one DAVANTE ADAMS IS ANOTHER!!! CAN THEY JUST SHUT THE F**K UP ABOUT DAVANTE BEING TRADED???????

What a hell of a interview with Howie Long I’ve been a raider fan for 56 years and I thought it was a fantastic interview. You guys keep doing it.
Gruden really brought back that old school Raider tradition. Current Coach Antonio Pierce is solidifying it.
Love hearing 75 talk about the old days and equally excited that we have Maxx on the team on his way to legend status
"Lyle was crazy"....yeah lmfaoooo that's an understatement hahaha LOVED those 80's/90's teams. Such a band of characters.
Three Mile Lyle, cuz Alzado could go nuclear anytime! lol Howie really takes care of himself. Looks like he could still play. Aging incredibly. Beast! Used to love it when he did his uni adjustment of his neck gear/collar. Like he was getting ready to tool someone every play. He played hurt an entire year (can’t recall what year), but came back with vengeance the next year(s). Legend.
When I was a kid Howie was my idol, Now Maxx you are some kids idol!

I don't know if you got my request or not to have Howie on the show, but either way wow I was blown away. Hung on every word you both said to each other. I have been a Howie fan(over 40 years)for a very long time but it was so good hearing him talk to you like that, and about the Raiders like that. Love to see him on tv, but i never get to here him talk Raiders like that. Love it so much. Thank you, it was a dream come true getting to hear both you and him talking raiders. Cant wait to see you in that gold jacket one day, but not too soon I love watching you play too much. Go Raiders!!!!!

Big fan and just bringing it back to the LA coliseum days I was there back in the day finding parking in some strangers yard for $10 , watching raiders go overtime against Denver and elway to get in the playoffs was one of my best experiences

Those Raider's teams didn't win the most championships but they were the coolest franchise in pro sports to watch.
