    I like him better now. Stern was privately miserable and it took years of psychotherapy therapy to humanize him.

    Say what you want, this guy was the greatest thing that ever happened to anyone stuck in their car with an AM radio. And then an FM radio. He made everybody else bring up their game. I never got satellite but he is still one of the best interviewers around.

    Yeah, it's funny to read all the "sell out" comments and all that stuff. The man is older and wiser now about a lot of things. To say he "sold out" I don't think is really that fair of an assessment - but hey - everyone has their opinions and either way Howard is laughing all the way to the bank.

    My introduction to Stern was watching him on Letterman. This Stern is long gone, replaced with the Stern we see now. A shadow of his former self.

    Most people mellow as they age. That’s a good thing. A lot of his action in the past were rooted in his insecurities. They haven’t totally disappeared, but I think he knows himself a little better these days, that’s doesn’t always make for entertaining radio, like from his terrestrial radio days. But, it’s a natural progression of a human.
