The violins do it for me! I play violin & in my senior year of high school I got to play the violin solo in "shortcut to Mushroom" & "The Breaking of the Fellowship" during our verylast concert. It was so magical for me because LOTR was & will always be my favorite movie series of all time.

Whenever I listen to this sublime piece, my mind is invariably called to heavenly realities and even teary eyes are not uncommon. With his LOTR trilogy soundtracks, Howard Shore has truly created a timeless masterpiece, a 21th century equivalent to Handel, Mozart and Tchaikovsky. Worthy musical companion to Tolkien's world-building and universal good-vs-evil story-telling brilliance.

Not really much point trying to comment here really, except to say that I cannot express what these two pieces of music mean to me, in particular the breaking of the fellowship. Absolutely masterful.

Can't force my eyes not to shed a tear when listening to this.

Best movie of all time,lot's of good lesson's to be learned through it

Over a year later, and I still get shivers down my spine.

I love the transition between the tracks. There's something magical about it, like it was supposed to end, but then the chords go on, and then Enya starts singing.

O M G THIS IS COMPLETELY MASSIVE .. deserve a billion views for several reasons.

Absolutely inspired music, and your video is great!

Enya and Annie Lennox have voices, I believe, of the angels. So lovely, the music and lyrics and voices.

This always reminds me of good-byes and how we all need to find a way, an inner strength that allows us to move on in life... after saying good-bye to all who we've once loved. It helps me move on in life, and I get to understand that, some day, I will find someone better than my ex, who disappeared from my life a few weeks ago with no explanation other than "I'm not the same person that I was when I started dating you" and treated me with the biggest lack of respect ever... We had lots of plans together, we lived together happily and peacefully for nearly four years... well, farewell then. She will be missed, but someone better will come.

That was me graduating last year. There's been some sentimental moments and some sad goodbyes. Treasure the good times and make some new ones as well. Don't be afraid to talk to them about how you fell; chances are they feel the same way. Good luck and stay in touch with them!
