His job was talking and filling airtime lol. He has to keep certain conversations going. During the "Bro Fight", you will notice Howard 3 different times wraps the discussion, then after a pause starts it back up. This was because in his headphones, producers are telling him "keep going for another 20 minutes" or whatever. This was 100x worse on terrestrial radio, because it worked more around the advertisers than anything else.

One of the best channels of classic Stern.

Howard is the disloyal one. 1. Howard TV was fired on the air. 2. His former employees who helped him are banned. 3. Former guests and comedians were banned.

Banned is such a funny word...is Grillo banned? I guess so, but really they just got sick of seeing him around and when he blasted the show, they had an excuse to get rid of him. Most people when they leave a job just leave and don't go back.

The control he tried to have over his underlings was sick. He acted like HE cared about Gange 😂

Howard always reminded everyone it was HIS show and everyone had to answer to him until it was time for the other members of the show to get paid. All of the sudden contract negotiations were out of his control.

Howard is such a B. “You’re not allowed to talk to someone I’m upset with. Cuz I’m a huge giant baby.” And Robin will back up Howard no matter how dumb he’s being. Unless she’s fighting with him.

Howard is complaining about someone stealing his material? All he does is rip off old TV bits and tells his audience it was his idea. Jimmy Kimmel called him out on it once in an emai, and Howard had zero rebuttal.

The moment Gange quit dubbing tapes for Howard personally at his house Howard legit had a problem with him - if he didn’t get in with the E crew he absolutely would’ve been out the door not long after imo

Na dude Howard clearly generally disliked Gange from that point on but him getting that E job insured his tenure there. Like Howard really didn’t care for him but not to the point of going to E and having him fired, he was sorta just there atp and Howard also kinda kept Gange mainly off the air after that except when absolutely necessary. Ralph himself had even speculated Howard’s general dislike of Mike, and who else would truly know if not him?

@@JudgeReinhold626 oh and btw Gange got the E job through people like Scott Einziger and Doug Goodstein who worked with him while Mike was in the mix and on the HSS crew - Howard didn’t facilitate that personally for Gange, albeit he did like to take the credit. My point was if Gange hadn’t landed that E job he would have probably just been replaced at the show eventually

Just like with the Jackie/Florida incident, it’s so obvious that Robin was the one who ratted Gange out. She’s taking the charge on the assault more than Howard

Does anyone know what the resolution of the lawsuit was? I have a feeling Stern lost since I don’t recall him really saying otherwise.

He settled with ABC then shortly thereafter, signed a deal to do primetime interviews with them. No interviews transpired. I've always suspected they announced the deal and gave him some money to end the lawsuit.

Like the other guy said, it was settled. He was also 100% right in this instance. The show in question had women who wanted to be models go before a mean panel that points out their flaws with a laser pointer. Here’s the best part, they hired Jackie as a writer.
