My OCD isn't this severe but there's things I just can't do and I can't explain it to people without me seeming crazy.

As someone who has suffered from OCD for 22 years; this movie was very well researched and executed.

This is a great movie, especially when it depicts OCD like this, as someone with the disorder it speaks a lot to me. I’m not as much of a germaphobe as Howard was but the repeated behaviors, the repeated speaking, the intrusive thoughts all bring it back for me. I constantly feel like I’m on the verge of a serious breakdown like Howard’s. Has a wise person once put it, OCD is a beast, especially when you suffer silently.

I have OCD and Tourette’s and managed to retire from the military. Anything is possible

It must be a difficult thing to deal and live with. I hope you are doing well. A funny story about his OCD though is that he was living in one of his Vegas hotels and deceived all he wanted was this Baskin Robbins banana nut ice cream...BUT they stopped making it. So he put in an order and the minimum amount was something crazy like a thousand gallons!(we use metric here in Ireland but I know a gallon is a lot!) so they make him a special batch and it’s shipped out...Howard decides all he can eat is vanilla ice cream...so the hotel was giving away free banana nut ice cream for years and years later! Anyway take care and all the best 👍✌️

I've been wanting to comfort him for years, too. Howard wasn't mad or crazy ..... he had a serious case of ocd before anyone knew about ocd. I have ocd ..... the checking version. It is a pain in the butt.
