Can you make some sample breakdowns, just about the breakbeats, breaks used in hip hop. And how they processed, and modify these breaks to sound so PHAT? Do you know what i mean? Tracklib and you show the breaks used, but are a lot of mistery about compression, pitch down or up, equalizition, distortion. Well there a lot of EFX used to modify the sound of beats, breaks, of breakbeats in hip hop.

A lot of music producers use New York compression, where they layer the original track over another compressed track at the same time, giving the drums volume without clipping the mix

@@Tatsuspam i use fruity loops, i can manage samples. But i use the FX of FL Studio, compression, masterized for all track, i put the song/beat a lot more PHAT without clip. I don't know nothing technic about compression, equalization or other FX . I try and experiment, a lot. I need more technic and experienced wit mixing the all song, and masterization. I need to try, more Professional FX plugins for compression, equaluzation maybe the WAVES brand, they have a lot of things. Its so much things. But yeah i have a spice effect with the name: ,New York compression is very hard, strong and phat. But creativaty in sampling in hip hop, give a lot of work, sometimes i like the MPC style of work. Some people do a lot of creativaty sampling work just with mpc! Its hard to say whast is the best method. For example i just usr a DAW i programe all in the DAW.... Here in Portugal, Sam The Kid are the more creative with sampling beats, and i just use is MPC, but the mixing and masterization is another guy/guys that dfo that in Professional DAW's. Is as an artist rapper/beat maker that don't know nothing about mixing and mastering. We can't do everything, we need help to make a Hit. @@Tatsuspam i think you talk about the paralel compression aka drum bus. They put all the drum parts to one drum bus track, aka with a lot of compression! I need to study the basic of mixing....

Future Funk really is just taking the piss huh... I mean I like the sound of the music, but once you start really getting into City pop and American funk and hearing the songs they're "sampling," it's obviously blatant plagiarism 😉. I mean it's the reason us mere mortals don't also get involved in this genre.
