I have no doubt that a lot of big KZreadrs have connections or buy from StockX etc. But there a few that have bought fakes for sure. Richie Lie for example, has a video on an early look at the Travis Scott Air Max 1 Wheat, and there’s a color difference on the midsole. And I’m not talking subtle, I mean a part of the midsole is dark brown when on retail it is all a much lighter shade of brown throughout the shoe.

You’re the REAL deal bro! Keep putting your content out because what you do can’t be bought with money. I used to have 50 pairs plus but my soon to be X wife made me sell them off. She would always poke fun at me saying “Your in your 30’s and how immature are you for buying damn shoes?”. And I’d always feel guilty and sell them off and give her the money from them. I had a OG pair years ago and gave them to a neighbour that loved mine. He had no shoes to play basketball in. Here in Canada we don’t have the SNKRS app and shoes that are rare are hit and miss. I was about to say, most creators that I’m familiar with literally just bite the bullet and buy on goat or stockx because they are content creators and having the sneaker first is big for content and as you explained can pay for itself with the content you make. I know a lot of the big youtubers and I can confirm that they do just buy it early from GOAT / Stockx and pay premiums just to make the content. Its a smart business decision as the views they get from the early videos and the Ad revenue is usually more that the premium they spent on the shoe. I personally don't watch sneaker reviews from youtubers who get shoes early mainly because I know these guys don't really care about the shoes and just do this to pay their bills.

Jay the Sneaker Guy got early pairs of reimagined 4’s. Then He Shared a pair with He got Kicks and Mike Rich borrowed that pair and returned that pair to He got Kicks. Sometimes it’s about who you knew

When I worked at The Finish Line I know we got shoes early before releases. Not sure how long but these days I do see Reps available months before the release dates so I did wonder how they got them. I'm thinking they have to be made so they can be packaged and shipped to the retailers but I don't fully understand. I thought that some have to be buying Reps and showing them online. For the ones that have stores and tons of boxes on the floor already, I'm curious about them too.
