I really envision myself being a KZreadr and I know I will be able to grow and find my community on here 💛 Success story videos like yours inspired me to keep going and know it's possible for me, so thank you.

I am almost 72-year-old and I have had a KZread channel since March of 24 but I have only put three very short videos on it. I have never been on camera and I have never talked to a camera before and it terrifies me and I know it shouldn't. I am ashamed of it because I have wanted to make videos for about 8 years. I think I will bite the bullet and finally make one this week! Thanks!

Starting new channel on KZread can be really tough, so I knew I couldn't afford to waste months trying to get noticed by just a handful of people. Instead of spending months to get few hundred subscribers, I found a shortcut to kickstart organic growth after reaching my first 1000 subs (by using a bit of Famester of course). Once that happened, my main channel has experienced a significant surge, and I have realized that people tend to focus on numbers when searching for content. Having a low subscriber count often means being overlooked, even if your content is top-notch...

I checked out your channel and impressed how you have so many subscribers in such a short amount of time with a small view count. That means you have a lot of potential! I checked out your video thumbnails and they seem a bit busy. There is a lot going on, a lot of color, and the text gets lost. Try reducing the number of images and maybe add some depth to the photos. Perhaps reduce how much color and provide a text background so you can read what it says more clearly. Hope that helps and keep on getting after it!

I know this probably isn't your target market, but I know many widows over 75 that are still living in their homes and have no idea how to fix things like a toilet or replace batteries in say lights on the stove or simple house maintenance because their husbands did it for them. I think they benefit greatly from youtube and I am watching it empower many of the women who feel embarrassed or alone at this time in their life. But anyway, How-to channels are what I spend most of my time on in youtube and I always find the answers I need. But now, the job market is very tough because many companies have laid off workers, and there are a lot of excellent professionals looking for jobs. While I keep searching, I've started a Lo-Fi music channel. It's been a great way for me to stay creative and positive during this tough time. Thank you again for the encouragement!

Absolutely 💯 . After 3+ years of procrastination about starting my channel, I finally launched. And it’s an immense sense of inner fulfillment. Am also niching down to catering to Gen Xr’s but also to include all (Boomers, Gen Z..) . It’s remarkable because the war is really you vs you. I’m in corporate right now (finance, fintech), and the stress is brutal. It’s exactly what pushed me off the edge to begin this journey as I want to quit this job! But also keeping in mind, that I’m not eyeing this here as an immediate $ ticket. I LOVE this first and foremost! Keep up the good work!

@@AlexaSaarenoja it is so worth it. In fact I built out the studio in my condo which already had a den. But then I froze and couldn't find the will to hit record. I kept looking for excuses. Our Gen X'rs can really be a voice in era and there's so much to bring to the table from just an experience standpoint. I might just quit soon enough here, lol. It's a big risk. But my gut says this will payoff! You have a new sub here 🙂

@@lifebehindthereels Hey again! :) I think it is worth it and having a clear focus helps propel forward. It looks like you are in the health and wellness arena - that's great! I know for me, in regards to your niche, I've noticed my body needs different training than it did when I was younger and it appreciates calmer workouts. For example, I did everything HIIT younger and more combative like TKD, Kickboxing and Krav Maga, but as I got older, my body didn't like to take punches anymore and it felt better with walking, stretching, calesthetics and wegith training. If your focus is genx + you could consider doing a video that bridges both gen X plus what're more important as the body ages. Like especially women of Genx and more were taught cardio or bust, but in fact we lose a great percentage of muscle every year after 30 and thus training with weights and gaining muscle after a certain age is an important focus for not only gaining but retaining what we have. I'm rambling but I think if you target some of your topics bridging both gen x and fitness or wellness it could catch more eyes. Not trying to tell you what to do, just want to help give you some ideas. For example I watched one of your flexibility videos where you were in the park, I was interested to see what you do for that. I really want my body to be agile and strong. I think the topic you have has incredible potential so I hope you don't give up! xoxo Thank you for the sub and for watching. I appreciate it.

@@AlexaSaarenoja I can't tell you how grateful I am for this very careful feedback and note! As you say this, and while I have been recording a lot lately, focusing on Gen X and this niche seem to be landing well! And I did a recent video on mobility/stretching as well that I am leaving here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hJin1bmOqN3WnKg.html. Thanks for watching that park video, because in that clip, I am showcasing pretty explosive movements (Brazil Capoeira). So what you saw there, is really the final product of what I have been doing my entire life behind the scenes as you will see in this vid. I intend to continue expanding on this very topic the more I am finding a stride! THANK YOU AGAIN!! I hope you find this stretching video helpful! Stay tuned for more!

You are so natural and engaging and humble and down to earth....Thank you for this, it has been very motivating. As a 46 year old Woman, I am also scared... but I think it gives us an edge, we have had so much life experience already and all have gifts and talents and advice to share. It's also, I think, a really special thing if we can pass on some of this experience to someone else who might need it, it takes us out of self and helps us give to others.... so I'm excited about it and you have really motivated me even more. Hearing my own voice is so cringe sometimes 🤣but I think I'll get used to it... Anyway I'm rambling, thanks again for a really special video, you will do amazing because of your authentic awesome self! xox

I agree completely! It's only been about a month, I have almost no idea what I'm doing, but my channel has been growing! It will take some time until it's actually profitable I think, but I'm having an absolute blast since I'm just playing games that I'm passionate about! Turns out other people dig that kinda thing. Which is wild to me since I'm just some guy in his studio apartment playing board games. Having listened to KZreadrs for a LONG time definitely helps though. It's given me quite a few ideas, but then that's the community thing you mentioned! We all just kinda help each other, and I provide entertainment for FREE (although of course I have donation links just in case someone feels generous). I look at it like those old time vaudville shows. Ya put on a show, ya put your little hat on the stage, and maybe people throw a few bucks in it. I'm fine with that actually. Good luck with your channel Alexa!

Thank you for sharing, Ive gone through a few companies (over the past 4 ish years) that did all those annoying, mean and "slimey" actions. I was always the issue, yet I was chosen for that position by being that same person. When you shared how you did everything, and were liked by others yet you were ket go really resinated with me and my past experiences. Which helped me to feel like I need to take your advice. 😊 Thank you🎉 I keep wanting to make videos but then over think it and don't.... You're video has helped me to try to figute out how to upload instrad of not uploading.

To encourage you, I applied to your channel. I will restart mine since the beginning more seriously too. I think that KZread can be a great community to exchange experience of life, of everything and here we are not simple numbers because we will take care of each other. 😉

I love your video; it is completely honest, natural, and straightforward. Many think that KZread is another social media, but it's not. It's a search engine where people search for solutions to their problems. Your video gave me a lot of good advice, and I will certainly use it in my own channel. Thank you, and congratulations!

What crazy is when I made I video, I sent it to my family and they were so critical…they told me it was to long! I said well it’s my first video and I want ppl get to know me…they were like no one is gonna watch it…ppl wasn’t to see 30 sec videos….it was a 9 minuet video and i scrubbed it to less than 3! All I have to say is don’t let ppl stop you from starting a channel. Big or small just start! Good luck everyone and great video! I love in-depth videos. ❤

First of all they don’t know what they’re talking about! KZread is long-form content and the people who watch videos on here are wanting to watch 20 mins-1 hour depending on the content. So don’t sell yourself short!

Now if you are wanting to focus on Reels then those will definitely have to be about 30 seconds for people to want to consume that form of content.

Everyone is so motivating and I love it ❤. I know I get nervous and end up freezing on my thoughts by the time I post but I finally just started posting about life whenever I think about it. I'm praying to be more consistent and get somewhere. One of the things i allowed to be in my way was the fear of hurting feelings by expressing my thoughts and real life. I feel like I'm in my own way sometimes but i also feel like my personal experiences can help someone else.

You got this! No matter what we do in life, even if we lead fully with love, we are going to end up offending someone. But in the meantime you will attract so many people that gravitate towards and relate to what you are saying. And you could really help a lot of people. The world needs your voice. And I can tell you are a caring and thoughtful person because you are already worried about hurting people. Let your heart sing and someone out there in a dark place will benefit. ❤️❤️❤️
