It’s funny how similar your experience and mine sound. We’re probably the same age or around that, and it changed my life too. Some might think it’s from my sub count or views or something like that but it’s honestly not, it’s from the experiences with my audience. Views and subs anyone can come by, but reading a comment saying “you’re my favourite KZreadr” or “I want to be like you” or even “your videos make my day”… now that’s the stuff that changes you right there. When I started last year I remember going for my first 1000 subs, thinking it wasn’t going to happen until sometime this summer. I started it just to have fun and express myself as I fell in love with making videos on TikTok and wanted to give KZread a shot. This channel has been one of the greatest experiences of my life and has allowed me to have interactions with KZreadrs I watched before and get in touch with the Minecraft community/grow a community of my own. I’m glad you’re feeling so positive man; keep going and good things will happen, I know it :)

I keep clicking on videos like this and because of that i've been getting lots of recommendations for small channels that do commentary while gaming lately. I just think it's a nice change of pace from all the AI voice over movie recaps and split-screen videos of subway surfers and some dude talking about drama that isn't relevant to me in the slightest. Feels like a real revival of youtube to me. Good luck to you ^^

A piece of advise that weirdly stuck with me was that not a single person actually cares about what you are attempting at the end of the day, so there’s no embarrassment in trying and potentially failing. Only person REALLY judging us is ourselves and I’m not trying to lose to myself 😂

I agree with you, I’m about to also hit the 500 mark and I’m just hyped to make a community, so I’m just trying my best with my new video and do my best every video I’ll make :) So I love what you do here and this video motivated me to move forward and create!

I think the fail at the end of this was a really good analogy for your whole point. I've wanted to start my own channel for similar purposes, just as kind of an archive of me playing games I enjoy, yet I can't find the motivation or feeling of "im ready now" to just Do It. I was going to delete the whole video after the fail 😂 there is never a “I’m ready now” time. All you gotta do is start, not be embarrassed by being bad at it and keep learning. I've started as a Minecraft Creator two months ago, and I got to 14 subs this week. Every subscriber is wonderful, and I am constantly refreshing. I don't think I'm ready to start to fly yet, but every video gets better, and every day is another chance for me to brighten other people's day with my videos. On top of a full time job and three kids, it's a lot of work, but I love the game play, editing, and feeling that something I created could make someone's day better.

Enjoyed hearing how you started KZread. As someone who just restarted uploading, it was cool to see someone else's humble beginnings. That being said, I don't recommend 1-shoting any boss irl. Being "higher level" might not hold up in court. 3:16 Also, 7:28 made me laugh out loud 👍

I started working on my channel for a short time last year and was thinking about doing some streaming too but then I fell and broke my foot and had to have surgery so that kinda detailed my plans. Now life is too hectic. I’m lucky to have time to game. I’m glad that you shared your progress tho that is really great and fast too. congrats! I always wondered how long it might take to get a few hundred followers. I remember feeling a bit overwhelmed Lol I like the idea of building a sense of community. That would def be less stressful and way more rewarding and fun in the long run for sure. What an amazing video, man! I remember it took me nearly 3 years to hit 100 subs, so congrats on 500 so quickly! I've been making content for 7 years now, and I gotta say, your story is amazing. And this video is so inspirational! You have so much potential, bro. Your point that starting a KZread channel with the main goal of making money is a bad idea is so correct. On my channel, I'm just me. I play Minecraft and interact with my viewers as myself. I've been making content for so long now, yet I'm not monetized. Does that bother me? No, not really. Because I'm having fun! However, in the past, one of my goals was monetization. And having that as a goal definitely killed my motivation for a bit. So good on you for talking about that. P.S. The recommendations you left are great! I think a lot of new people can find them very useful. :D

Ngl its insane i never looked at life that way because i was raised on video games and the internet. I was younger than 4 when i got my 3ds. Either way while i dont plan on keep looking at life like a video game it is a cool philosophy (i look at life as just something to squeeze every amount of enjoyment out of it).
