How Your Teammates Can Limit Your Potential (Jalen Green Breakdown)

FORGET the typical NBA Highlights and tune into the HIDDEN Highlights!!
Discord Server: / discord
After ending the 2023 NBA with with high anticipation of what the future beholds, the Houston Rockets signed Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks. By signing these 2 players, the Houston Rockets shifted from being under development to trying to compete.
This may sound good to some, but when you think of the future of the franchise, this tremendously hurts the growth and potential of Jalen Green, Alperen Şengün, Cam Whitmore, and Amen Thompson. So in today's video, we analyze how the Houston Rockets organization (not Ime Udoka necessarily) has stunted the potential of their young players and hurt their future.

Man, Jalen Green can attack the rim and looks amazing doing it. There’s one tiny problem though: he’s the worst player I’ve ever seen at finishing at the rim. I’ve watched pretty much every game of his professional career. He’s simply not a star player in the NBA, but I believe he can be a top tier role player.

@@eliasg1987From what I’ve seen of Jalen Green this year his passing and effort on defense are better than the last two years. When players aren’t put in good systems or have good coaching it’s hard to get the right knowledge instilled in you. It also doesn’t help that the team he’s on doesn’t have many shooters on it because his main attribute right now is being able to get downhill. I think he has the tools to be great and will be able to put some things together

What a lot of people aren't mentioning is that since KPJ was removed from the team Jalen's confidence has plummeted.Look it as Steph Curry/Jordan Poole scenario as in with KPJ at point Jalen looked like he was about take it to a higher level. But now without him not only is his game play is suffering so is his mentality. We have all seen how some players look like superstars but when changes happen on the team they barely look like college players and that's what we're seeing now with Jalen. Can he overcome this nosedive he's in? Maybe but it's not looking good at all right now. He's even gotten to the point where he's arguing online with fans like Durant used to do but he's nowhere close to KD's level of skill. He lacks maturity and the drive to learn so that he can improve.

JG got time, he should just keep working on his game, body and health.

You know Jalen had the most chances out of 2021 draft classes, he had plenty of chances to prove him self but he regressed every year. Kobe wasn’t even the main man till shaq left Lakers in 05 so he had close to 7-8 yrs before he had a floor to him self so his usage wasn’t big as Jalen who had most usage past two years in his draft classes. Most late bloomers are the player who didn’t see the floor much due to coming off the bench or playing behind established super star, if you just look at stats Collin Sexton had 24/5/4 with shooting 54% on his 3rd year

John Wall hardly played while here, KPJ and Christian Wood are both poor examples of professionals, and Eric Gordon is quiet and keeps to himself. You could point out the details the young guys were missing in their daily practice, in the games, etc - but showing it with their peers speaks much louder than words. I didn't love the signings for what they provided on the court, but guys like Jalen, Jabari, Amen, Cam, Alpi, and Tari all needed to see professionals work to see how to adapt what they do to grow...you aint learning nothing from CWood
