A friend and I spent hours trying to connect my PC and PS5 then we found this vid, super useful and helpful!

Good stuff man, I was messing around with settings for years trying to get it to work with PS4 and had no luck but with the PS5 I was able to finally get it to work basically the same way you have it set up only instead of the 2 Audio lines that go into the Green pink audio splitter, I use 1 line and the other get the audio through the HDMI cable to my Capture card and pc. Then on the other end, I have an XLR that goes through my Focusrite Scarlette 6i6 USB Audio Interface that connects to my pc. I control everything through OBS but I really like the way Voice Meter works and I have not yet messed with it but your video may be one setup that i try and see how it works. Now one thing I wanted to toss by you since you seem to get this audio stuff pretty well is I saw one video that said it's possible to split the PS5's Game audio and Party Chat Voice Audio coming from the PS5 but I don't see how that is possible. If you know of a way, that would make for a pretty epic video idea. Anyway, good stuff man, keep up the good work.

I am planning on doing this. Just wondering, is there a difference in the sound quality when doing this versus just having the headphones regularly plugged into console or PC? Any sound quality loss? Or does it just sound the same? Thanks.

If you have a 3.5 cord and a splitter you can plug the splitter into the back of your pc and then put the other end in your controller, no hiss and no extra soundcard/grounder

Great tutorial. One question I had was I recently got a webcam, but for some reason my voice is being sent though my webcam and my mic at the same time which is causing distortion. Is there any settings that I should change?

Btw. Make sure you have your microphone level up on the lowest setting on your ps5. It makes a strange noise when you have it up. It works different on PS4 when you have to have it up but on ps5, it needs to be all the way down.

this helped me heaps i kept getting loud feedback and distortion. still kinda get it but its nowehere as bad now.

I’ve been looking for this!!!! Ive seen something similar with the UGREEN adapter. Now, I don’t have speakers at all. So, would this work if I did the same with the Ugreen adapter, sound card and isolators, BUT - run both the lines to the PC? I saw it on another video and I can’t find it again. Would this work and how would it work??

This worked for me but now it seems that Discord is playing audio from both my PC and PS5. Is there any way to fix this or have I done something wrong? Would using a USB soundcard in my PC fix this?

Really appreciate this video. Allows me to hang out with my friends in discord and play my ps5. Last update with either the the ps5 or windows, the mic will not work on PlayStation. Any ideas would be great.

Advice for those that need it. When I plugged in the mic cable I wrongly assigned it as a 'line in'. It needs to be assigned to a speaker. Took me way too long to work that out.

If y’all are looking for an easier solution and don’t mind spending a little bit of money I highly recommend picking up a SteelSeries headset. Both the arctis 3 and 9 have built in Bluetooth which can connect to your pc while connecting to the ps5 ether though 3.5 mm aux or a wireless dongle and allow you to listen and talk on both devices at the same time as well as adjust the volume for each separately

Great tutorial. Dont know if sound card is bad or aux cable but followed your steps everyting works except i cant get ps5 to recognize mic. The Voicemeeter only has two hardware inputs A1 & A2 and when you choose the input to route to headset it only has A or B choose.

Hello Im looking for a solution to use discord off my phone while using the sennheiser pc 38x headset plugged into my controller. i am able to do this with my astro a40 tr and mixamp as the mixamp has an aux in that i just plug into my phone and use discord off my phone through that and the astro headset mic works fine for both game and discord/phone calls. do you have a solution for my sennheiser pc38x like an adapter of some kind that would work with the mic on ps5 and discord off the phone.

I thought this was the solution and everything works fine I can hear the game, the PC audio like KZread if I play it. The mic level goes up and ps5 level goes up on voice meter but when I go to ps5 and check the mic level it echoes and makes continuous PS5 noise like when you click something it’s horrendous I don’t know what I’ve done. Can someone help?

in OBS the PS5 audio wont pick up. what needs to be done in OBS for it to pick up the PS5 audio?

I hear static on the mic pc end but it picks up the mic and a LOUD humming on my ps4 and it doesn't pick up mic audio, along with that, my ps4 audio is Independent from soundmeeter and still in the line in selection in soundmeeter for some reason. ⚠

Also why is it that when the ps5 if off i get a high pitch sound .Have to mute that line before turning off the ps5

i dont understand. i followed this video, but my PC sound is the microphone input to my ps5. like my party hears everything playing through realtek audio (speaker) so everything i have playing on my pc. is there a way that this doesnt happen... this whole process seems pointless if i can chat on a ps5 party when im listening to music or watching a video/show on pc. plz help. i hope someone else is having this issue

Hello, I have this setup and randomly my microphone will stop feeding to the ps5. All other mic and audio will work fine. Without adjusting my settings the PS5 mic will start and stop working. Not sure what would be causing this.

yo man, thank you for this video. i have the audio from my ps5 into my pc but for some reason i cant get my mic to work. None of the hardware outputs seem to project my voice onto the ps5 and when i test my mic on ps5 all i can hear is a loud static noise even with a Ground loop noise isolator. If you know a solution to this, Help would be appreciated. if not i can just connect my mic directly to my ps5. Thank you again for the video :)

If you haven’t gotten a keyboard yet, I use the “Vissles - V1” keyboard on Amazon. It supports multiple devices so once you have it paired to your pc and ps5, you can quickly switch between them with the same keyboard, wirelessly. I even have it connected on my phone. So I’ll switch between 3 devices seamlessly

it means when you plug the isolater in to the PC, youve allocated it to Line in. Pull it out and put it back in and allocate it to a speaker. worked for me cause I had the same issue.

does this not work on Xbox? i have all the hardware, just struggling to get my xbox to comply
