Babymonster was one of Blackpink’s supposed group name Jennie didn’t want to call their group babymonster and came up with blackpink and the cute/dark concept idea so babymonsters name isn’t actually special, yg just using old group name ideas for his new groups

Pharita is the most underrated vocalist on baemon. She is my bias, when i first listened to her vocal it was *all of me* it made me jaw drop cause i knew she can do falsetto and her lower tone also perfect, her vocal's range is huge but most ppl dont realize it.

in her original song coming out in the live performances, the voice seemed to be in HD, vs everyone else. every single member has special talent...will be fun to see the trajectory.

For me, I think Parita's voice is the most memorable. I was amazed by Parita's singing voice. When looking at her abilities I think she's worth watching and exploring.

one thing, BLACKPINK DO NOT owe their success of breaking into the international market to BTS, BLACKPINK paved their own way and were themselves one of the few artists who introduced k-pop to the world and western public, as well as the biggest and most successful girl group to do so

Babymonster is now one of my favourite groups im a yg stan and i love blackpink their my fav group number 1 babymonster is now number 2 so so good my bias is ahyeon chiquita and pharita Ahyeon literally has the highest vocal range said by yg himself shes so so good at everything literally ACE she can also speak multiple languages chiquita is my age so 2009 she's already so talented and pretty and amazing pharita has sinilar voice to rosé so good she has an angel voice also has a high vocal range

Sorry YG did not literally say that. It was a bad translation from Korean in the subs about Ahyeon having the highest vocal range. In original Korean, It is not about note range, it was about her range of vocal skills/abilities. So the praise is actually higher than just "vocal range".

I think Pharita has good technique. Her voice may not be that powerful compared to Ahyeon or Rami but she’s good at controlling and very stable when singing. Sad that some fans think her vocal is just meh.

I think my fav voice in the group is Pharita's. She has very pure soothing voice yet also powerful at the same time if you listen her intro video. I hope she can be more confident in signing in the future and let her power of voice come out. But Haram is def main vocalist, her stability plus techniques, harmony she does in almost every performance is craaazy. I agree that Aheyon has a LOT of talent naturally and I hope she will learn to control it. Rora, omg Rora is amazing. Her deep voice is just something attractive.. idk. Chiquita is growing so fast, so talented for her age. Love how they all different are in terms of vocals and they seem to understand their strengths. Great video as always! Thank you for Ana;ysis, looking forward for next episodes. especially Rami's and Rora's and group one

This is really one of my favorite reactions to BABYMONSTER, yr analysis of their vocals and performances is very interesting and you give yr opinion without hating on any member or offending anyone. Ahyeon is also my favorite can’t wait for her debut with the girls on April 1st and waiting for more reactions

11:41 as far as i know yg doesn't make their artists like "you have to sing this way or that way". Coz literally yg is looking for an artists/trainees who has their own Character. I've been into kpop for years and all kpop stans knew that yg artists has this distict voices that are leaning more in western vibes and eversince BP get well know for that other groups gets inspired by them and company are now looking for trainees who can speak, sing and has western vibes. Like he said making a group isn't about putting super talented and incredible people. He want artists who has their own distinct identity. And that's what i love about them is you will never hear yg artists that has the same voice

All my favourite BP songs are the B-Sides which are the softer songs which really focus on their vocal abilities (You never know, happiest girl, dont know what to do). This group is gonna be crazy! They have 4 Main Vocalists! And I’m yet to include Chiquita, the kid is still raw but the talent will be sky’s the limit!

A very good point about the part that "do not sing for yourself" and that most of the time those who are too conscious and worried about perfecting everything would usually end up performing so stiff. I think that is also the reason why I like Treasure when they perform (or other YG artists), they don't care much about perfecting the choreo or whole performance. They are more relax and just enjoying which you can almost feel and see when you watch them. They sing/perform for the audience, they make sure that the audience are included during their perf. Reason why most of non-fans or casual listener who went to their concert or see them perform in person are impress with them.

i have to admit that you're my favourite vocal coach and reactor on the internet, and i've seen A LOT of them. I like how just authentic you are don't try to force yourself to have a certain reaction. you also genuinely like these girls and want to see them shine. And your advice is very reliable because you talk specifically about how they use their voices and techniques that way we can better understand them and properly evaluate objectively. also i just wanted to point out how true it is when you said that a lot of vocalists are not born with the "raw talent" they have to work twice as hard because they have to develop their voices and find a sound. they might not find it as easy to belt or flow through different registers as easily or nicely, so they work hard. like u sais, many of them end up doing better just because they're determined and hard working. nowadays a lot of people especially the kpop stans tend to forget that being a good vocalist is not just about having raw talent, it's how you work to present a good performance to the audience. even if you have raw talent, you could still struggle and may not be "better" than those how work harder than you. sorry for the long comment, i just appreciate your videos. you're a good influence

I've loved the part where you're speaking about the self confidence we must have when we perform in front of other people. I mean it can apply (and have to be) to any moment of your life that puts you in the center of attention. During these moments, don't be afraid to show the best version of yourself, even if you think that this version doesn't represent you, or at least the vision you have of yourself. Pharita has always been the most underestimated vocalist by ppl who like power vocal. It's like comparing Minnie (angelic/indie) with Miyeon (power vocal/traditional), which is no point. Having angelic voice and not traditional kpop can be strong vocalist too. My fav vocalists are IU Minnie Pharita Chiquita.They all have something similar something crucial to succeed in kpop. I wouldn't underestimate Pharita or Chiquita if I were you ppl :)
