    @@Ytremz If you compare her to an average joe then it's gonna be like that. But when you compare her with atheletes, many male footballers can run faster than her. So no competition with male sprinters.

    ITs really cool to see a track athlete talking about peaking, being an athlete requires such intense training planning and so many high school coaches don't understand these vital components of the athlete

    Everyone becomes a coach these days, without actually educating themselves. Whenever I played a sport at school I never improved because of the coaching I received. I improved myself by just playing. It speaks volumes of the level of coaching I had; pathetic!

    Had I had better one on one coaching and workout planning I would have performed so much better in high school. I never lifted, never did any strengthening drills and I still was able to perform well. I wonder how I would have performed with weightlifting, plyometrics and more one on one coaching. Unfortunately, since my team was so large and coaches so few that was not possible.

    BroToPro yeah but i mean on 100m you can give 100% (unless you are weak). 200m is too hard for doing 100% constantly. (100% is the fastest speed you can run, on 100m you can do that untill the end of the 100m, on 200m you'll get slower)

    Chaitan Reddy you realize you’re talking about 2 completely different things... most olympians were already masters of their sports by age 10-12 and they compete starting at 16 and if you’re not elite by that age you have no chance. Of course there are exceptions and every sport is different. So it’s completely unfair to say that cross fitters aren’t as good as olympians... you’re comparing kids that trained before they started walking to people that started taking training seriously only as adults.

    this is an obvious notion as not getting injured is the most important thing (as it will stall training and progress will suffer). As you get older you obviously will be more prone to injury as well and warming up helps this.

    Depending on which errors you have in your form or what your relative strengths and weaknesses are, different cues are going to be helpful to you. In both cases you're trying to reach the same goal-the ideal stride will look the same-but you may need to keep different things in mind to get there: if your problem is you're pounding the ground but not getting a lot of forward momentum, what you heard would be useful, but if you need to be more forceful, Natasha's cue will be more helpful for fixing your specific stride issues.

  • @efisgpr

    @efisgpr

    7 жыл бұрын

    Fuath Even for zoological studies, it's the same; animal running speeds depend a lot more on stride length than frequency. And, stride length depends on time in the air more than simply limb length. So, it all comes down to power (which creates the propulsion for the "time in the air"). *POWER*

  • @efisgpr

    @efisgpr

    7 жыл бұрын

    J Andrews You drive into the ground at an angle...powerfully. The coaching cue of telling the athlete to run "across" the ground is used to remind them to be striking with the foot in an arcing motion (on the ball of the foot). Natasha has ideal technique ("form") & the cue she is focusing on is for neural drive, to get her brain to tell the legs and glutes to contract violently at just the right time.
