Btw chara, the "lofi salmon run song" Is an actual song it's called salmon run tutorial and is my favorite salmon run song because of the hella chill beat. Also fun fact the strumming at the beginning is done on a chello, you can see them recording it in the splatoon music bts video.

I distinctly remember thinking that Pearl and Marina had like, the ugliest designs EVER when I first saw them, like, I actually couldn't believe what I was seeing. Nowdays I think they look fine, honestly I'm not sure if I just got used to them at this point or if I was just mad that they were going to replace the squid sisters back then.

I've said elsewhere that I think it would be hilarious if the Splatsvillle Ammo Knights was run by Sheldon's "cousin" who visually was just Sheldon with an exaggerated addition like a bow or a mustache. Also I had no idea about the skip feature for Sheldon when I got the game, so when I stumbled on it I seriously broke down laughing!

To be fair bomb launchers are different since they unlike rush, they don't charge special for bombs that explode after it ends, and, one thing people overlook! Bomb Launchers fire from the left side, whereas all inklings and octolings are right handed, this means you can't peek with launchers the same way you can with a charger- well, you can! But you'd need a different wall, it's something to keep in mind!

And bomb rush lets you spam whatever your normal sub weapon is, whereas launcher lets you use a different type of bomb

I love that sheldon is the one constant in splatoon, his role is somehow more set in stone than the idols or capn cuttlefish

I will never forget opening gambit sub ability.

The reason I think why Sheldon doesn’t have anything new to him is because he’s a Horseshoe Crab. Those haven’t evolved for thousands of years, so it would make sense why he’s just stayed the same for the whole trilogy(besides slight clothing variations). If that’s the case, I think it was really clever, considering I didn’t even think of that until 3.

Sadly yes we have 1 infinite range special from 2 in sploon 3

Splatoon 2 is basically the Silent Hill 2/Street Fighter 2 of the franchise because it put Nintendo new IP on the map with over 10 million sales so yes it aged extremely well. Also this is in my top 5 favorite games of all time with fun and unique gameplay, very rich lore to learn, a God Tier aesthetics with a mix of Japanese Pop and Akira influence. Plus most importantly the character designs are S++ Tier not to mention Marina and Pearl (IMO) are probably the best female characters I've seen in video games. Nevertheless Splatoon is here to stay after 7 years since its day view on the Wii U.

I wouldn't call the Echo Locator sound being the Wall sound as a mistake. It might've been a placeholder sound as the game was developed. Somethings don't take immediate priority, and since the game likely had a deadline to meet for the direct, they didn't make a sound for it, or did and forgot to put it in at that point, or did know but it wasn't high up on the list of things needed at the time.
