Nagaland is most definitely one of the most vibrant states in the NE as well as India and the Naga youth among the most enterprising. This ranking is indeed shocking. SG is right to appeal to the insurgent leaders who need to look beyond power politics and acquiring territory in other states and act with genuine concern for the people. Nagaland can easily rival Sikkim if only the spirit of the people is set free and channelled towards progress.

One more important thing guys : explore and tour north-east (not only north east, but south, north everywhere in India) before you visit abroad. Have a good time, it achieves a couple of things : 1. Helps those regions prosper (i.e helps India Prosper) 2. You learn more about India 3. People get to know about each other and their culture. Builds mutual respect and a feeling of being one. 4. Helps curb the feeling of alienation amongst some states, familiarity builds trust and they wouldn't want to fight against the people who are familiar to them.

NORTHEASTERN people are well educated Due to lack of jobs and poor infrastructure and politicians not doing their job, people's are lacking behind, districs are lacking behind ,states lacking behind etc etc As a whole Nation is behind . Tribal leaders and Politicians must come together and work together for better future for NORTHEASTERN people.

Dear SG ji. Thank you for putting focus on the north east. Most conventional media outlets don’t bother about talking about it. So kudos. Having been brought up in Assam, I can say that the reason the state does so poorly compared to our hilly neighbors is due to deep seated corruption. Every state civil officer in the state feels he is obliged to fill his pockets with govt money instead of having a vision for the people!

Sir I'm from Arunachal Pradesh. The road to Kra Dadi has been in dilapidated condition since the formation of our state in 86'. Looking at a map one would think that the Arunachal Districts that you've mentioned are close to Assam, but the reality is just the opposite of that. Yes even though districts like Kurung kume, Kra Dadi are near to Assam and should be, but actually very far from Assam. Reason behind is the poor connectivity, due to years of corruption and bad bureaucracy. But surprisingly districts like Papumpare shouldn't have performed that bad because it's just 30 kms from the Assam border. However, it's understandably so because Guwahati is >350 kms away from Itanagar and due to transportation costs, a lot of cheap items become costly for our capital citizens. This also brings the level of corruption into the limelight. Thank you good sir. I'll make sure I make a detailed analysis on the mentioned report and publish an article in the local prints.
