Worst thing is that this child won't even remember that. We don't remember the first years of our lifes, but they have the biggest impact, so growing up like this not only can give you an eating disorder, on top of it it will take a LOT of work to figure out why you have this problem, and most likely the parents won't be helpful 'cause in their mind they did nothing wrong and won't mention something like this.

This method is two parents on the same page, trying to get their baby comfortable with trying new food. They’re making the food look good to the baby. Not trying to force the kid to eat faster. You know how you give kids eating disorders? Force feeding them to the point of vomiting. Making them sit at the table for hours upset. Making them go to bed hungry. You guys have the wrong idea about what is happening in this video, completely.

@@skylamei I don't know...cause they don't show that the food is yummy. Bhtu rather show, that if the baby isn't fast enough they will steal from it. So if someone would do this often or even everytime the baby/toddler eats, I can totally see how that would mess with their eating habits. It won't be "let's eat because I want now" but more like "let's eat because I have a deep feeling inside of me that there is a chance it won't be there in a few minutes time." And I think that actually is a bad relationship with food and can cause big stress to eating situations.

After that, they don't have to convince him it will be good, so there is not "fighting" over food, because he already knows.

Baby has to hesitate. It's important to give the baby time to feel the food with the hands. It's not right to want to make your baby eat faster. In most cases this won't affect the child much (at least if it isn't a regular occurrence) but exactly what's shown in the video can lead to eating disorders. You don't take the food out of their hand. When it's in their hand then it is their food and they need to learn that no one steals their food and they don't have to rush. They can get to know the food on their own terms. That's important. S
