I really enjoy these business perspective/processing videos. Very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to put this information out to us
I enjoy the behind the scenes coverage of testing all these items for a business perspective.
Thanks for the great content guys appreciate all the hard work on the videos!! God bless!!!
enjoyed the video! thank you for taking us through the process!!
Nice hustle guys! love watching these.
Nice game cleaning and processing work!
Love watching this stuff
I don't know why but I love the format of the vid. just Do these types of vids until most is sold.
Wow awesome video
Good video. Lots of work. Whenever I buy a used game, I dab a paper towel with rubbing alcohol and wipe the case down. That dusty, dingy feeling of old games is nasty so I'll have to wash my hands afterwards. Even just simple rubbing alcohol makes a world of difference. Goo Gone is the only thing I use to get stickers off cases. Works wonders but the smell is strong so I'll also use rubbing alcohol afterwards to remove the odor.
What a great guy skyler is
My late childhood was on full display WCW, WWF, and Star Wars. Own them all minty fresh, didn’t think to keep the boxes 20 years later
Just some unsolicited free advice-I have printed out instructions on how to hook up the system to your TV. I find a lot of returns are due to this-people get frustrated and return. You would think people would Google it but…no. It has driven my return rate down significantly.

I think there's someone in our Discord that does this, that's something we've considered in the past
Wait you don't recommend using your own toothbrush? I love the additional flavor
Thanks for making these videos. What replacement joysticks do you use and do you advertise that they are replacements?
My favorite tote! Love wrestling games!
You guys should buy a steam cleaner, youll get any cleaning done way faster without chemical

toothbrush and ipa but i the best way i have found to get through lots of cleaning in my experience
your hard work will payoff or i can say it aready is since you guys just got probley the best invatory. but keep up the hard work and great content great to see the process behind
If u guys remove the plastic (unesamble) & used water Hot steam & blow air will help the process of clean controllers, consoles & some others accessories in my opinion will be faster & efficient...
27 minute video yeah!
just kind of a random question. are you not going to go to garage sales in the next few weeks/months because of the cheer ammount of inventory you have right now, or will you be doing those hunts aniways because you enjoy them and people like to see them as well? btw loving all this sorting shipping stuff! I wish you had showed us how you changed all the n64 controllers middle joysticks

I imagine they will continue to yard sale. Never know when you will find that grail sitting there! And yeah they might not need inventory but they always need content for KZread!

The gears are easily purchasable. As far as the controller just pay attention to the two gear sizes as you are pulling them off and put it back in the reverse order. Fairly easy and use white lithium grease just be careful to only put it on the gears
When cleaning consoles/controllers the guys at Epic Games and More found the Oral B Denture Brushes I donated work like a hot damn, unfortunately my dentist who gave them to me can't get them anymore.
I feel the wife pain I tried to work on the dinning table once, but it didn't go well. You probably could lot of the broken controllers to sell for parts those atomic purple are nice. I'd love to see running total of % you made it through and profit totals for each area. Just sort of get an idea when you hit even and go into profit margin kinda idea. Then you could see how fast its moving to like 500 items sold over 3 platforms for $$$. So you could see when you hit the 10k mark, 20,30 of 50k. Though you guys have plenty to do already just think be interesting.
What do you plan on doing with all the dvds?
I'm sure you're sneezing would stop if you were wearing a mask all that loose debris in the air from the toothbrush are probably triggering your allergies. keep up the great content 👍

Probably contributed. Although I have sneeze attacks regardless😭 -Skylar
Datatvac might be a nice tool to use in the cleaning effort.
How do you guys keep track of inventory? Either for yourself or for taxes?
You guys should do a collaboration with TronicsFix! on all the stank controllers and consoles.
What joysticks do you use? I need some..
Great video. Question on your N64 test. Should you not test each controller port?
@catrpcrew
2 жыл бұрын
You can, since the first port is most commonly used it may have the most wear. We will inspect and clean all the ports regardless

How many miles from your house is the game barn?

I feel like at this point it may be beneficial for you to open a gaming store, you definitely have the inventory for it.

I oddly enjoy cleaning up old controllers that I find thrifting, probably wouldn’t enjoy it as much if I bought several hundred of them all at once… 😆
Are y’all keeping track to know at what point you will break even? I know it’s a big feat with this large of a purchase
@catrpcrew
2 жыл бұрын
We are yes, there's a lot to it that we won't get into explaining. We will follow how much cash we have for building our barn on the main channel and then on this channel.
Wouldn't it be easier and faster to take apart all the controllers and soak the shells and buttons? Then wipe them clean and replace the sticks. Still alot of work but a smoother and faster process.

Enjoy these videos but they also stress me out. I’m thinking about the time it takes to hit 10 listings a day and I see THOUSANDS OF GAMES. So crazy

How much time does that typically take you?
@rootedinretro1995
2 жыл бұрын
@@hulkwarrior I’m definitely not the fastest but I’ve gotten quicker now that I have a light box, a more succinct process and templates setup in ebay. With testing, cleaning, pictures and posting, I’d say probably 1-1 1/2 hours. Quicker if they are similar products like a batch of video games. This doesn’t include interruptions from my 2 or 7 year old. Or my wife for that matter :)
I see the lot i Bought of 64 games with bio freaks

sorry to say it but you cheap assing your way out of cleaning a n64. better to open it up and clean in inside and out. clean the plastic and rubber pads with soap and water.clean the mother boards and contacts with the alcohol and a toothbrush.then youre probably gonna need what some call ceramic grease for the thumbstick to lubricate it.there is really no other way. you will be looking at about 20-25 minutes per control depending on the condition. then you may have to consider there may be bugs inside the control itself
Hey guys, what do you do with the 64 controllers with bad sticks? I know they sell replacements that are GameCube styled. I’ve replaced a couple. Just open, swap and close. Last I checked, they’re about $7-$12. Might not be worth the time/money for you, but I figured I’d throw it out there just in case.

No parts at best unless you have a repair guy. In all honesty repairs for the most part are simple
If you don't want to use your toothbrush.... buy a separate one. 5:10
If you want to keep all your hair… don’t buy the 50 disc machine. I used/tried to use one, they are very finicky. Way more frustration than helpfulness. IMO
If you are cleaning a bunch of the same controller type, it's probably worth it to just disassemble en mass and throw everything in the bathtub with dish soap for attacking with brushes.
