Do you use drip tape for watering everything? How do you keep weeds under control between rows? We do use plastic for garlic production on our farm we have found a biodegradable plastic that works well is that what you use? The corn planting looks like a great idea we have been having trouble with our corn the last 2 years this maybe the answer for us thanks. Dan from Growing with HIM farms. We are a small market farm In Wisconsin.

Looks like your planter works according to specifications. Have they thought about making it a little wider and put a fertilizer injection unit that can inject needed amounts 1 inch over and 1 inch down from seeds?😊

@@CherryHillFarm no i did not think the closing wheel is to light. I took a closing wheel from jdJD 7000 planter put o a hoe handle roll over top with a weight to close the hole. Any ideas to make the hole close thanks

@HerbertBishop-xj5jt I've never had any problem with that, but my soil is sandy loam. I'm not sure what to tell you on that.

Do you any problem of the plant not coming through the hole? we’ve had some problem with that Janine at Ferris Farm told me to pull the handlebars down a little bit. Also, have you had a problem of covering up seeds? I think we planted some with the dirt being a little too wet in the dirt did not cover up the seeds, also do you know what cucumber plate you are using? I planted almost an acre of sweetcorn with mine at one time on bare ground pretty easy and fast!!

Does it not get to hot in North Carolina for Plastic Mulch during the mid summer? Will the soil get too hot?

That's why we use white for summer crops black for spring crops. The white reflects the heat.
