Sometimes who we need is right in front of us,but we don't see them that way,

There are a lot of older men around my age and older that still believe that they need to have sex in order to know you. Well, I am 57 and I have decided not to, and I am baptized again and have been single for the past 6 years. But i refuse to put myself back on that path for anyone until I am married.

Amen! You are beautiful! Yeah, I am also, 57 and divorced, my husband cheated and physically abused me. I tried dating in the past. Too many "fake Christians". I don't look my age either, people think I'm in my 30's. Yeah, I get approached at the store, etc by old men, 70's - 80's, or teenagers (I call them) 19 - 40. Very, discouraging. Proud of you Sister and by your sharing on this post, this lets me know, there are other older, single Christian women, staying true to GOD! 😆🙏🏾📖🛐💗🎉

I enjoyed watching you share your love story, authored by God. My Bishop says we all have baggage, the key is finding someone willing to help you unpack. When we seek God, He'll send you that someone. May God continue to bless you!

Girl, for the first time I see someone that have the same testimony as me (sexual abuse) and talk about surrendering to God. I have been asking myself, if I'm worthy enough to talk about God and my walk with Him. Because how can I talk about purity, after giving my life to God, after all the abuse. I felt like this was a part that everyone will judge of me more, than anything else. But you made me smile and and release that I can, one day, when I probably have enough strength to share my testimony as you. Thank you and God bless you both 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Letting go of baggage isn't always that easy. Healing is an important part of relieving that baggage and healing, esp. emotional healing, is a process and that takes time. I believe in some circumstances, God can, IF He so wills, can heal emotional pain instantaneously. But, I so believe in some cases, He allows the healing to take time so that He can help us to work through each issue and develop us spiritually in the process.

I love it, I am doing this same thing my brother and sister in Christ, I have also waited a looong time and God has provided for me a wonderful, Godly gentle man. I thought I would marry a preacher and a few preachers has come my way but their characters showed me, they couldn't be for me. This man is not a Pastor but God fearing all the same. I have told him no sex before marriage and he has no problem with that at all. That tells something right, while the Pastors wanted to sleep with me almost immediately, We're getting married in April 2021, and I feel that God has glorified Himself, I am blessed. Thanks for sharing, you both deserve all the love and surely God will not disgrace anyone who puts their trust in Him. Stay blessed
