"I could leave it on all day, though it would eventually burn out those lights." I'm glad to say, you're in luck here because LEDs have an insanely long life. Even cheap ones will last fifteen solid years of being on, and yours look like higher quality at a glance, so you'd need to leave them on for twenty years straight at least before they begin to go dim. And since LEDs do not have any issues with being cycled affecting their lifespans, the ones on top would last twice as long. Fun fact, often LEDs will be oscillated at an extremely high rate, faster than can be perceived by eye, to increase their lifespans for long-life applications.

I'm doing the ecto1 build with my daughter and payed for the first time 1.95 for two packs then each month I will be receiving 4 new packs at 17.00 a month from what I roughed out I'm spending less then 400.00 on this build project. Is the 1,500.00 for it just to buy out right without waiting monthly and that's why it's priced so high. It's still a good purchase and we are really excited to have it put all together. Great video love the Ghostbusters, never watched the 2016 fake version though lol.

About one year ago Dan Lanigan showed me around his collection of movie props. Dan is the host of the Disney show "Prop Culture." We talked about movies and he showed me screen used props from Indiana Jones, to Hellboy, Star Trek, and his own movie, "Fanorama." While we were talking he mentioned not running around in his proton pack, to which I asked, "You have a proton pack." He then showed me Egon's proton pack from Ghostbusters I and II. He believed it was also worn by the other Ghostbusters as well. Next to it hung the trap from the first movie that Dan Acaroid said, "The light is green, the trap is clean." The PKE meter was one of only two from the first Ghostbusters. The other was stolen and there is a police report for it. That makes Dan's meter the only one known to still exist from the first movie. You can check out the devices and hear more about them here if you want kzread.info/dash/bejne/hqWqxI-ud6bJp7Q.html

  • @YourGeekFix

I drilled the hole into the very center of each of the lights. Then, using a razor blade, you'll find that the plastic is very easy to carve. Just carve it down until it looks exactly like you want it to. As far I too. As far as the batteries go, I put them under the hood and connected them to AY split Micro USB and ran that to the back. Good luck!

I randomly happened upon this video and your channel. I went ahead and subscribed 30 seconds into watching. The only problem is that after seeing your upgrades I now hate my ecto. I have ZERO SKILL when it comes to customizing and/or upgrading any of the things I buy. I was just looking into how to make this happen and asked myself "who you gonna call?" So I will do the modern version and call you via this comment. I would love to send you my ecto to have this done? I would pay whatever you wanted to make it happen. Very very cool stuff you have here.

    2 жыл бұрын

Like I showed in the video, I could not fit the red lights in the bullets or tails. I removed the bullets, which pull out in twos and using plyers came out easy for me. I then drilled with a very small micro bit into the fins. Now, there are red clips inside teh car below the window for releasing the find that I found were glued, but I drilled into there to send fiberoptics from a red light in that area, behind the computers, to the hole where the bullet lights go. I drilled a little into the bullet lights both so the fiver optic could go a little inside and to defuse the lights. Fiber optics are how I did a lot of the project. kzread.info/dash/bejne/a4Ck27mugrm_mbA.html
