As a middle schooler, I definitely agree. I wish I could be homeschooled. I believe the education system sucks, and it needs to be fixed. My dad doesn’t want to, though. If I ever have kids, and I can, I’ll homeschool them.

You're doing amazing!! Don't pay attention to any negative comments from those who don't understand. Your children are getting personalized attention from the teacher who cares about them more than anyone else in the whole wide world -- their mom!! Homeschooling is an incredible blessing to your children and family. Keep it up, mama!

I’m so excited I’ve found your channel. I have a toddler that is about to be 3 years old feb 21st. His father and I have been talking about homeschooling him! I’m nervous but excited. I’ve already started printing pages out for him for preschool. We will be making friends in sports and going out in the community. Our schools are not safe at all, and it’s been so scary to think about sending our kids to school. I also have a almost 1 year old that is loving to learn already!

some kids are VERY physical during learning and need to move around, so if that's your case, you can work that into your planning of days (build a simple bridge and see how it works by putting vehicles over it and how to fix it, move pieces from one pile to another to separate into Venn groups or primary things or numeration, basketball basket counting, running a string line to make design or shapes, etc) - - there might be a kid magazine that has subscription to receive countries' stuff in mail (kid makes art or whatever from each place, they learn a few words or food type, and such)

Homeschooling is fine, as long as your kids do activities that help with their social heath it really shouldn’t matter if you homeschool or not. Also, homeschooling can help your kid’s self esteem. You don’t have a problem with your kid being bullied by other students and you can adapt to your kid’s needs.

I can relate to so much of what you’ve shared. I struggled a great deal in school and In fact had to be clawed into the doors of kindergarten by the teacher. I’ve never forgotten how traumatic that was and on top Of that, I cheated a lot in kindergarten, pretending to be done with things I hadn’t actually done. I also cheated in 4th grade and cheating in general became a habit for me and it makes me sad to look back on how lost in the shuffle I got. I actually had another teacher dig her nails into my arm in 4th grade when I wouldn’t stop crying and she didn’t know what to do. I just didn’t thrive in the school system, even in private school. I am looking into homeschooling now. Thank you for sharing all this information!

Hi! Great videos! I was homeschooled all my life growing up and I still practice it through online schooling. Currently I am at Cal Poly Humboldt. It continues to be a wonderful experience. What motivated you to promote homeschooling in your family? The reason I was placed is because I was sheltered due to nuclear testing in my sector. I think it's the healthiest option whether one is sheltered or not. More power to you. :) Is there anything you wonder about from me? I graduated Summa Cum Laude from a prestigious private school with a B.A. in Astrophysics. I'm a Doctor now specializing in blood through Tiffany & co.

This is a good question. At the end of high school (home education) your transcripts and tests will be sent to the county school district. They determine this as graduated with the state school board. There’s also an option for dull enrollment for college credits for last year of high school for those who are home educated. And all university and college accept home educated high school diploma’s depending on the same factors as a child in public and private school would need.

Diplomas can be ordered online. I homeschooled my daughter for 7th and 8th grade. I ordered her diploma and used it to get her into high school. She wanted the high school experience. She's also on the Honor roll at public school.

I rarely comment on anything but as an adult who was homeschooled I feel strongly on this subject. I’d think carefully about how it can affect your children later in life. I hope for the sake of your kids you are able to educate and socialize them properly. Granted there was a level of fundamentalist Christianity thrown in with my experience the fact is that as one of 6 homeschooled children I and my siblings have faced real and serious struggles as adults due to our homeschooling upbringing.

The same could be said about many adults who went to public school, and the negative effects it had in us. With that said, i’m sorry about your experience with homeschooling but not all homeschoolers are like that so dont lump them all together. Many homeschooled children grow up to be amazing, independent and healthy adults.

Just happened upon your beautiful channel. I am a 4th grade teacher at a Catholic school. I have to admit, when I get new students who have been homeschooled, it is quite rough for them at first. I am sure not all homeschooled kids are like this but the one's I have encountered are seriously lacking in their ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. They can read well and answer multiple choice questions but they lack critical thinking skills and the ability to construct sentences and paragraphs. Also---and this might just be a coincidence - their printing and cursive is---atrocious! I don't know why. Is much of their work done online? Also, they can't copy from the board, or even a book. That said, if I had kids and was faced with our country's public school system, I would homeschool. I don't see it as ideal, but when faced with the alternative, I would do it. Best of luck to you. I'm sure you will be able to make a success of it.

I’m wondering if the kids you get come from parents who were having a really hard time homeschooling, so they ultimately end up sending them to a school. Furthermore explaining their developmental delays. Just a thought!

@@toriblackaby2211 Good question. Do you have kids? I don't. I find that most parents who have been homeschooling their kids seem almost delusional. MOST of the homeschooled kids are behind in writing and communications skills. I have nothing against homeschooling but I don't know how objective a parent can be about their own child's abilities. I understand that if it is your own child you would want him to be successful and wouldn't want to face the fact that he was failing at something. On the other hand, from what I hear about the public schools nowadays, I wouldn't want to send my child to one. Depending on my options, I would homeschool my child if I needed to. What are your thoughts?

@@melissasw64 I do have a kid, she's not school age yet though. I agree that the public school/education system is scary these days. I can understand why some parents would fall behind when it comes to being diligent in homeschooling their children. I definitely feel like not all parents are meant to be homeschool 'teachers'. Some decide to do it out of fear or whatever other reason, and neglect to prepare themselves for what lies ahead. It seems like a lot of work and you'd have to be very intentional about a lot of things. I'd love to homeschool my daughter once she's old enough. Our plan is to start with Pre-K to see how it goes. But I'm hoping to be realistic and very honest with myself as to whether or not I'm really cut out for this. I think that's where some parents might fail, because they're scared of the alternative, ya know?

Why would anyone homeschool their children? I just don't understand it. Teachers have the necessary education to teach. If you are not educated, I don't trust your ability to teach anyone. Besides, school is important for developing social skills. I don't think this would be legal in most countries.

And I know it’s a lot to assume online through reading, but by the way you worded things you are in fact not trying to understand. You’ve already come up with your own understanding, and are trying to cover up an unnecessary judgement on your part by wording it like ‘I just don’t understand’

We as parents know that our kids can learn much more at home if we are also willing to teach them and prepare our selves. It's also very convenient because you dont have to pay expensive tuition,, some unnecesary and also expensive books, getting up very early to give them breakfast, prepare lunch, dress them (if they still dont have the skills), lots of material that you dont know why it always gets lost, special and horrible uniforms, etc. Also the bullying and many extra things, unnecesary homework (and a lot of it parents have to help them do it). I'm considering myself homeschol my 2 youngest. My country public school is terrible as well. There are many more reasons I think my kids would be better off if they were tought at home by me or my husband .

Hi! Most elementary education programs focus on classroom management vs the content of what they’re teaching, especially for elementary education. When you teach a child one on one you can educate yourself to teach the students. This is what teachers do as well. I’m a college professor, btw.

Like others have pointed out there are many reasons why parents do it. Just to add on another one: because of the school shootings in the USA. Just today it was on the news that a Christian school in Nashville was attacked and 3 adults and 3 CHILDREN were killed by the monster that's human trash. Why would any parent want to risk their kids' lives if they can afford to homeschool.
