Yeah, 8 years after, you got Obama - who admittedly was not much of a climate advocate, and too much of a ponderer to take very big steps inside USA. To his account, his administration was instrumental in making the 2015 Paris deal on climate, but he didn't take any definitieve steps towards changing energy politics. But why didn't Gore step into Clinton's office, stating I'm not moving out here unless you do something real about climate. But that's what we call talking backwards.

God bless this man, Rafe :) ... talk about someone strong-willed and knowledgeable. Thank you for this historical view - I had no idea of the entry point of climate change, and unfortunately where it really went off track

In his talk on Limehouse Podcast Jan 16, 2022, Rafe introduced the idea of putting actual fysica l limits on climate change. Like, if London has to be evacuated at such so many feet of sea level rise, we'll have to stay under such and so many ppm carbon. Might that point been already crossed , we'll have to get back. London Board might develop such goals to put pressure on the government. Same for having snow and glaciers in what today are wintersport resorts. I wouldn't be surprised, If such limits are calculated, the current fossilized I mean fossilist governor of Florida would find quickly he'd better draw up a plan. In the above podcast, Rafe gave the example of Cambridge, Mass , which is rather low lying, with lots of climate conscious liberal scientists working, yet has no plan whatsoever to what level rise of waters is still acceptable to this locus of many a reputation in science. Harvard, MIT... Actually can't blame a likely candidate for president, to deny the science, if scientist's main hub in USA doesn't take the science that serious, and hasn't any plan.

Pandora’s box is wide open on climate and its change. Also examples like public healthcare, transport, media, finance, housing, safety nets, and so on. The time, money, and freedom to live with some dignity, to address these topics, too, is this "NOW". History is teaching us the same lesson, all over again, repeatedly. Who knows, we might not even learn it the second, third, or fourth time around. But the world, laughing in horror, in astonishment, in this bewilderment, really should.
