No I didn’t know about the spitting eagle so thanks I have three 1983 d’s and 2 1982d quarters done on a nickel planchette!! Glad I took another look before selling them!

I am Canadian so dont know much about your coins but I found an 83 coin. With the face side up if you turn it around left or right the Eagle is facing upside down. Is that an error?

I have many quarters! I have several that I think is error quarters. I have been saving the eagle back guarters for 31/2 years & have not went through all yet. I live in Indianapolis, In. Is there a place that I can take my change to get checked. I save all of my change,not just quarters! I have a Patron bottle filled with dimes & more!

No I never dead know. I actually started collecting 1982s and 83/4 of a long time ago because I heard they were valuable and I could sell them at a coin shop. At the coin shop told me that they are not in any need of help 83 and 82s. Which was a shame because I had a whole jar full of them. Not sure what to do with them now. Any suggestions?

Actually J&B the mint did make mint sets but the were only available at the mint itself so you physically had to go there to purchase them. So anyone reading this they are around the ms but a 83 or 82 set runs around 150-200 for a modern set. Straight nutz to me but makes sense.

I can buy them for $18 at a local coin shop. I can buy a lot of coins there that people say are rare or worth thousands. I tend not to believe people when they price coins or say how rare they are. I have a 30 year collection and I am always pulling out coins people say are ultra rare or worth tens of thousands. I just laugh. I have a triple die reverse 1983 quarter, a double date wide AM 1988, a quadruple struck 2015 nickel. 4 dates on it. I have tons of these error coins, that are worthless. Nobody buys them, its just a hobby to pass time.
