How Traditional Tie Guan Yin Wu Long (Oolong) Tea is Made
As part of her spring 2014 trip Shunan traveled into Anxi, China to get Tie Guan Yin Oolong. Trying to get the best tea possible, Shunan asked them to make Tie Guan Yin in the most traditional way possible, by rolling it by foot.

There is a lot that goes into processing your tea. Good job! Must feel great that you picked it and followed to process all the way through.

Yes, absolutely! Thank you for your comment!
Didn't realise how labour intense the whole process is. And how organic! Thank you for the education. I will truly appreciate my next cup of tie guan yin.
Thank you.

+magetaaaaaa Yes, the standard amount for Tie Guan Yin is 8 grams. If you havent tried using that much I would suggest it. Tie Guan Yin are these farmers whole lives, nobody knows the tea better than them. If they use 8 grams you should use that as a baseline. (You can adjust it for your own personal taste)

Tea Drunk Thank you for the advice. Would you say that the rule also applies for other types of high mountain oolong? Right now I have an imperial pearl that I got from Mountain Tea, and I also have a roasted Dong Ding.

magetaaaaaa Since they are all done in the Tie Guan Yin style I would say yes.
As interesting as this video is, I'm not sure with the smoking and dirty feet rolling that you're really doing the best branding here LOL
