you guys have the best case reviews! hoping to get the Lunatik case for iphone 6 in this lifetime, looking forward to seeing your tests on it!

i was in Hawaii and took the phone with the case on it in the water and pressure of a wave knocked open the flap protecting the charger port and water got inside ! nothing serious happened to my phone except the volume kept going down by itself but that issue went away after a few months. I'm glad the case fits on my 6s too

ur fine dont worry if u worried. if ur volume gets messsed up just leave it alone it will fix itself. if anything else turn off ur phone immidiently and put in rice for 5 days in hot temperature

i just got the life proof free case for the iPhone 6. When i opened the case, it was bent (like yours). But even when the phone was in the case, it was still bent! My phone wasn't bent before i put it in there. Now my phone is bent!!!

I think the videos you make are great and really show an indepth review of these cases. One thing that I think you should review is the sound quality when making a call using any waterproof case. I remember testing out my iPhone 5 with an Otterbox armor case and I could barely hear the person talking to me on the phone. Does this same problem happen with the Lifeproof fre for the iphone 6?

Great video. After seeing how that took a rock to the face and the screen didn't have a scratch on it I've decided to get this case instead of the Nüüd. The bust at 6.6 feet is disappointing, but seen as any drop my phone has had was at most 4-5 feet I think it will be okay. Definitely better than damaging the aluminum frame like I did while waiting for this case to be available.

Aaron, LifeProof has a lifetime warranty on their cases, Take pics and submit a claim and they will ship you a new case at no charge. I did that for my iPhone 5 case. They are really good about that.

I tried the tricks listed on the Lifeproof website like using a lite dusting of baby powder on the inside of the screen protector but even after doing that it is still there. I noticed that if I open the charging port and use my mouth to suck all of the air out of the case the rainbow effect disappears but shows up again within a few minutes.

I'm always surprised that coloured plastic always shows up so much later than black and white. I'm not a production guy but it seems a little silly that color takes an extra 6 months.

I haven't had any problems with it cracking. I have only had one problem which is the diffusion of the screen. But I have gotten used to it

I drop my phone a lot and my dad told me I have to find a new case for my phone and every phone case I pull up online he doesn’t approve of. This is the one phone case I like and I think he will approve of if not I have a backup video. Thxxx

I was nervous for the drop of test. Earlier my friend chucked my phone and I thought it would be fine because of the case but it was completely shattered

I've watched a few videos reviewing this case and most of the reviewers mention that without a phone inside the case is kind of warped. I don't have mine in person yet but I almost think the warp is intentional on the part of Life Proof. I had the Fre for the iphone 5 and the screen protector was awful. It didnt sit flush with the screen of the phone so the sensitivity was terrible. I ended up getting the Nuud version. The thing with these cases is that it always seems to curve down towards the back of the phone so it think that was meant to cause the screen protector to be pulled closer to the screen of the phone so that the contact sensitivity would be better this time around. Not exactly sure if thats the case but thats my 2 cents I guess lol. nice review by the way.

Yay you did the screen down table bend test. Thumbs up. I had this phone for my 4s and it kept it safe but It eventually had the plastic bit on the left side break off a bit, I hated the screen protector though. Made the screen very ugly and cheap feeling.

Would you recommend this for drops as well?

I wish people would test how the phone sounds with the case on. I had just got a waterproof case it was beautiful but I ended up returning it because you could not hear anything when you were watching a video or when you talk on the phone. That’s a major thing for me.

I'm kinda scared because the last time I used my lifeproof fre for the iPhone 6 water got into the case and it messed up the logic board so I had to get a new phone. I ordered a new one and I'm kinda scared to take it in water again any tips?

I was shocked when the case cracked but overall it gave the phone good protection,I had a Lifeproof case for my 4s it was ok but I didn't like 4 things about it,the screen shield would give a rainbow affect when playing games repeatedly hitting the same spot,the speaker sounds very muffled when the bottom door was shut,the headphone jack was a pain to deal with ( I understand this),and it's expensive, did they fix theses issues for the iPhone 6 case and does the Touch ID work? or how well does it work? I'll check the first 4 things for the review, the Touch ID works quite well. We had troubles with the Touch ID on the Fre for the iPhone 5S but it seems like the Sensor's gotten a little better (via updates?) and reads the finger easier through plastic membrane.

Great video. I can't believe you paid $80 for that Lifeproof case. I thought I the sides would be tougher for drops for an $80 case. But glad the front face did not break.

I've got one being sent to me.

I got my Fre' case via FedEx yesterday and I like it a lot but hate to see the 6's bright and clear screen partially ruined by the awful hazy/pixelating effect that the plastic screen cover causes, especially on white backgrounds. I've had several Lifeproof cases in the past and even a knockoff one for my 5C and they never done that.

Hey David, I literally dropped everything I was doing to film this vid...the shipping really killed me. The instructions say to remove all films on the device before installing. I would say you get away with it on 5/5s case but this Fre seems much tighter fitting than the 5 versions.

I am releasing the Dilex review today... just saw they announced the Obex! I'm pretty excited!

Do you think you can do a review for Rokform cases? I'm particularly interested in the aluminum+RMS (their best protection, most expensive case that includes an integrated mounting system that I think is really damn cool). I've been looking around for reviews on it and have not found a single iphone 6, or plus, review. Also, do you have any interest in doing a screen protector (PET and/or tempered glass) roundup of the different brands out there. Wouldn't need to do any real tests on them, just demonstrate ease or difficulty of application as well as the fit of the different brands (some only lay on the flat portions of the glass screen, others attempt to incorporate the curved bezels of the glass screen to rather dismal effects.) Thanks and love your videos. After trying to find concise reviews on cases, your youtube page has been my go to for hands on research. Keep it up!

First off, I have to say you are awesome!! Best reviews I have seen anywhere!! That said...I just realized you had done a Lifreproof FRE review...I have been through a whole lot of cases waiting for the FRE and I am soooo disappointed!!! I really hope the warranty covers it, but if I was Lifreproof, I'd be more interested in proving that it was a fluke and I would send you a couple more covers to try to proof that! People have been waiting impatiently (check their Facebook) and just to get a mediocre product. Anyhow, Thanks for your reviews...they are really helpful...keep on the good work!
