Dear Anika Mariyam, It is best to reply them with "Dear Mr. / Dr. X" all the time. However, if you are already a member of their research group for more than 3-4 months, the rest of the interaction is totally up to you! No parameters there! Hope it helps!

Dear Adnan Md Osman, Like we recommended in this video, it is better to maintain a gap of about 2 to 3 days before emailing professors of the same university. However, you can email multiple professors of various universities at the same time. Let's assume, you are emailing professors of 20 different universities. You have 10 professors listed from each university. So you can email 20 professors in one day. You need 10 days to cover all 200 professors in that way. Giving a gap of 2 to 3 days in between, you'll need about 30 to 40 days for emailing everyone. Hope it answered your question!

Walaikum Assalam! For emails, it is best to keep less no. of attachments. Your CV, transcripts (brief) and portfolio (if possible) should be good enough for the initial email. Hope it helps!

No! It is absolutely not mandatory to add transcript. Your CV will do. But you can add that if you want.

Bhaia, my Background is Education. I have a scheduled meeting with a professor on this Friday. I got his response within a few minutes where he intended to talk about the “Program” in which I am interested. And then I replied promptly as well. But as I didn’t receive any reply, I gave him a follow up email a week later. Then he again promptly replied from his mobile and said sorry for not replying sooner cause he didn’t find my reply. He also wrote that he was looking for my reply! Then we asked my availability on this Friday and I agreed to sit. Now he sent me a 1.30 hour meeting invitation and the discussion topic is “Meeting about Higher Education and Student Affairs Program”! Apart from that he didn’t give me any instructions/materials or didn’t ask for any presentation. Now I’m pretty much stressed out as I have no idea what’s gonna happen during the meeting. Can you please drop some suggestions?

To the best of our knowledge, this is a good reply - however, the reply is not from someone who can accommodate your funds directly! If the person really does show your profile to the committee, that's good. If not, then this is just false promising. We would recommend not to get your hopes up too much, wait for their email, and in the meantime keep looking for other opportunities. Hope it helps!

Dear Ayaz Habib, We strongly recommend you taking your GRE exams. All "good" universities of the US requires GRE. To our knowledge, for funded / scholarship opportunities, GRE scores become a must, even if the admission criteria may not require it. Hope it helps!

Dear Arifur Kabir, Yes, please mention about it in the email. However, please do not be extremely straightforward and say "I do not need funds, I just need your consent"! Put something like "I would be honored if you can refer me for *this* / *that*", and the email should look okay. Hope it helps!

Yes, you can send follow up / update emails. The minimum time before sending out follow up emails (that we recommend) is 1 week.

Research Proposal is a relatively advanced stage of communication. Attaching your Research Proposal in your first email to Professors will be an over smart move - so we highly recommend that you NOT do that.
