I am not quite sure about saying that witches never lied, because they said that Banquo is the father of kings, but at the end we see that it was not true. That surely can be true in future maybe his grandchildren or his son will become the king by marrying someone from royal family, but still there was no information about it in the play.

Can u say macbeths first words mimic the words of the witches to accentuate that the witches have almost obtained and condemned him into following their ways leading to his ultimate downfall

I’ve been told that we don’t need to use context at all in Macbeth, so we haven’t learnt any. Do you actually need to apply context in order to get a high grade or can you achieve it without? Thankyou so much for this video too! I’m about to sit my last mock before my exam so this definitely will help if this question appears! :)

If you're studying Macbeth (AQA or EDEXCEL) you MUST include context.. it's A03 in Literature exams

Speak in oxymoron to demonstrate they are agents of chaos, shakespeare represents king James fear through macbeths paranoia, they spark wicked thoughts and actions but also intense guilt and remorse. They experience hallucinations, dead ghost of banqueo, lady macbeth hallucinates blood on her hand. The witches trigger ambition in lady macbeth herself. She wants to retain power, many jacobean people were led to call her the 4th witch

It’s the introduction- you basically summarise your argument

Thesis statement is shorter first paragraph to explain your argument to examiner in fancy way, then 3 paragraphs and a conclusion (summarising your argument) at the end

They're just icing on the cake. It's like a nice decoration on a dress - not necessary but kind of nice to have. It shows you have mastery of the topic you're discussing.

What I’ve been told is 3 paragraphs if they’re strong and good paragraph. But if they are alright paragraphs u should write 4 (I’m going to write 4 just to be safe)
