How to Write the Diversity Essay | Medical School Secondary Essays

Medical school secondary applications each include their own unique set of essay prompts, but you shouldn't wait until you receive your secondary applications to start the writing process!
Most medical school school secondary essay prompts fall into one of six categories, and in this video, we’re taking a deep dive into the Diversity Essay.
I'll show you how to save yourself time and stress by prewriting your essays before you ever see the prompts for your application cycle. Then I’ll show you, step-by-step, how to turn a weak diversity essay into a strong one that will help you stand out to admissions committees and present yourself in the best light.

Hey there. I have a question ask (heads up it's long, so thanks in advance). I m in my first year of bachelors of physiotherapy in india. I want to go to Harvard medical school. What would med schools favor more- 1. Undergrad from a US state uni(after taking transfer from india)? 2. Undergrad from india, but a masters(MMSc immunology for eg) from an Ivy like Harvard( provided I get in). If I choose transfer, I ll be limited to state unis cz of my course and fees. For masters, however, I can apply to ivies as well. *(In either case, I ll supplement my education with a post-bacc pre-med program as well)

Hi, I don't have an answer to your question unfortunately, but I am an Indian immigrant applying to med school in the States right now and I wish you the best of luck in your future! I know you will do absolutely amazing things, and I've got my fingers crossed for you!

Hi just an FYI, to go to medical school in the US you must receive a bachelors from a US university. Foreign coursework is not accepted. Doing a masters here wont help you either.
