Fun fact: There are two forms of writing each letter: writing form and printing form. The one in the video is the printing form where you'll see in books or keyboard, the former you use when writing by hand. Some letters have kind of the same symbol in each form, and some don't. So yeah, Hebrew learners, you have to practice them both (:

Nah, most people just learn the formal one and then slowly realize how slow it is to write and then kinda shift to the other way. I learned that its much harder for hebrew speakers to learn the point of capital letters in english (not even mentioning cursive writing because thats a whole other story) than for English speakers to shift from formal letters to written form in hebrew.

@@ash-pi2dn i doubt letter itself matters (just like in latin script, who's preventing you from starting any letter any way you want?) but the general motion of the script is reversed. ie right to left, next row right to left, till the end.

Now that Takumi seems on fire, I suppose a video of him writing Arabic or Persian is near.

Oh come on, only arabic lanaguages have initial, middle and final forms, hebrew has only normal and (final in some cases)

Also, thereis a special font for torah writing and it is very unique. You should try it too

That's amazing and very funny to see you writing the wrong side. In Hebrew the writing direction is RTL (right to left). Very nice though

The letters are pretty but it is very funny to write Hebrew from left to right. Also, normally we use a different script for handwriting. Either way, very good job

ahahaha no no, you got some letters wrong. You have a beautiful handwriting but it seems like you weren't taught which lines to emphasize more, which are shorter, which are longer, which are horizontal/vertical and not diagonal. The order of some strokes are wrong. better watch videos of כתב סתם in order to get the grasp of hebrew writing. Also it's a RTL writing system not LTR. א a bit wider ג the diagonal seems off ה the tiny stroke should be shorter ט doesn't look like ט י it's... too diagonal כ stroke order off ו shorter length, it's not ן but ו ס the bottom should be rounder ע the diagonal stroke should be lower ץ wrong stroke order ק strokes should not touch ר longer vertical line the order is אבגדה... and not טחזו... (we read right to left)
