I'd argue that's more calligraphy based. True cursive doesn't let the pen tip leave the paper. It was for quickly, but pleasingly writing. With all those strokes, anyone could make it that 'good'. It is pretty.
0:05 That looks like a treble clef, but you wrote it backwards lol

Is this some kind of different style of cursive? Because normally the entire word is supposed to be written in one stroke (with the exception of some capital letters), but starting letters like d and a he picks the pen up, which definitely isn’t how I was taught it.

This is actually a very common practice in calligraphy from what I've seen. My understanding is that it's much harder to get consistent letterforms when the word is written in a single stroke because of the way the pen tends to get closer to the hand as the word is written. Because consistency is an essential part of calligraphy, calligraphers will often pick up the pen in the middle of the word to ensure uniformity and have better control over the connections between letters. That's just my understanding as a non-calligrapher, though.

I don’t remember any rule not to take the pen’s tip off the paper lol, it just sounds like a db rule - but I cannot believe I couldn’t remember how some of the cursive letters were, because I haven’t written anything by hand in over a decade, so I had forgotten a few of the letters!
