chalcie D firs of all congratulations!!! it really depends on where you’re attending college i’d say. i’m living in portugal so it can be quite different from other countries. from my experience i’d say it’s pretty hard but it’s doable if you study enough and it definitely helps if you love learning about this subject because you’ll engage in the tasks voluntarily and you’ll actually end up enjoying it. the thing i struggled the most with on my first semester was reading research articles, we had to read a ton of them for our classes and i only started to get the hang of it on my second semester! my biggest tips are: 1) sit in the front seats!! you’ll get less distracted and the professors will notice you’re interested and they’re more likely to remember you this way (which can also be helpful in the future) 2) read the assigned readings! this one is really important. they assigned you those readings for a reason 3) don’t be afraid to ask questions! you’ll notice that in college classes are usually a lot longer and the amount of stuff you have to learn and memorize for your exams is a lot more than you’re probably used to in high school. so it’s really important to really understand the material because you’ll usually learn the basics first and if you don’t understand that it’ll be harder for you to understand more complex material. 4) study the material you learned on that same week, this will make it a lot easier for you, trust me on this one. cramming in college is definitely not fun. if you happen to drop your grades on your first semester, don’t worry too much about it. it’s a totally different scenario from what you’re used to and it requires some adaptation. it might seem scary at first but psychology is truly fascinating and i’m glad you chose it! i wish you the best of luck and i hope you’ll love psychology as much as i do now :)

This is mind blowing 🗣🗣🗣🗣 I’m an MBA student too!! Thanks so much for this. I procrastinate due to extreme anxiety I’d literally do nothing but start from scratch everyday until the due date. I research way ahead of time and pay attention to current events and stuff then a day or two before I start typing. Once I’m done it’s usually 2 hours before the time it’s due. When I’m done I up and leave home either for a late night movie, grocery shopping, or just take a deep dive into pimple popping videos 🤣🤣

I had this exact thought a few days ago. I remembered doing this a few years ago for a report that my son had to do. Of course he waited to the last minute to tell me that he had a paper due. My final for my English class requires us to write a 5 page essay in 3 hours and she is not letting us know the essay topic until we start to clock. I have been so freaked out about it because I don't write very fast. Thank you so much for this video, super helpful and I am feeling better about it!

i keep a big disorganized notebook for college work, then I have notebooks for their proper subjects. I'll take the notes from the disorganized book and transcribe them to their respective notebooks. The transcription process is also kind of like studying without being terribly boring. For papers I'll just write out disorganized thoughts and then group them together, then elaborate on them all on paper.

Honestly, pretty brilliant. I type 80-100 wpm, but going back and editing is slower and I tend to edit as I be I go. This is a great way to get words on the page faster.

This video is a life saver. Didn't think it would help me but I tryed it out and its saved me so much time.

I think this will also help perfectionists. I find I’ll correct the same sentence 3/4 times. Each sentence feel like it’s taken a small part of my soul!

guys I watched the same video. Trust me, it's much better to go ahead and just start. I know it's difficult and boring and if you're a procrastinator it's literally hell. However, at least this way you know it will get done. Just get it over with.

Just did a 5 page yesterday. Not even exaggerating it was a 12 hour endeavor. It was due today, and finished it yesterday and am currently revising it today. Gen Psych. Easy class, although the instructions were absolutely terrible. I’m full online and figured it was only difficult to understand instructions because it wasn’t explained well, although I messaged other classmates and they ensured me I’m not unintelligent. This essay is important cause it will determine if I get an A or B. Currently have a 94% but this is 30% of grade; wish me luck!

Speaking papers is the best thing since sliced bread!!! Saved so much time

Thanks for this video! I’m in Grad school as well and I actually ended up taking this semester off due to feeling really stressed out. I was writing my papers down in my notebook and then transferring the paper to my computer because otherwise I’d have the worst case of writers block. I think using this talk to text feature could help big time.

I have been using talk to text for writing my papers ever since and it felt like night and day. @@mram03 I downloaded word on my phone, then used the talk to text feature. You can say the words Period for a . or Question Mark for a ? Afterwards, I would go back to my computer and fix the formatting and make edits because not all of the words would be correct.

This is one great idea, going to keep this one in mind 😄

I did this a few days ago because I was really sicked. I was feeling really dizzy and I literally can't look at computer screen to type anything out. So I use the voice typing method, it works really well.

Interesting. I never thought of doing it that way.
