Great video! It looks as if you only heated the edges. Is there no need to heat the flat surfaces to activate the adhesive? This will be my first attempt at wrapping some interior pieces in my Miata.
Hey man, I’ve used a few diff carbons and just not happy with the Non gloss of 3m, Avery etc but don’t like the “Printed Carbons” offered either, I’ve not used Vvivid and was wondering if they offer a Gloss Carbon for exterior that’s nice and still retains depth that the printed lack.

Thanks for the video! How does your vinyl compare to the pre-cut wraps from after market companies? you mentioned thickness, does that give extra visual depth? Does the product leave residue if removed?

Precut wraps are meant to be installed as a "face wrap" meaning, it's only covering the top and is not meant to conform around more detailed areas. In our opinion, this is an option for beginners who want something to protect the surface and give it a punch. However, if you're looking to make it realistic to the point that no one can tell it's a wrap, we suggest buying rolls and forming/cutting it yourself on the object. In most cases, it's easier, quicker and more rewarding. IT should not leave any residue when removed. To a certain extent, yes the thickness helps with depth but it's mainly attributed to the fact that a realistic looking carbon should have a textured look with a gloss top layer that is thick enough that the texture wont bleed through.
