I have some cheap cord that won't melt.. Like real cheap. It will be useful for mock macrame for my necklaces.

What I did was I measured the length I wanted the necklace to hang at for the first two strings and then doubled it for the weaving string. Worked just fine for me.

Ah ha! So it's lark's head knots all along the length and then square knots to bring the circle closed around the stone. Then a 3-strand spiral knot (aka Granny's knot) for the necklace length. So simple. Cool! On the 2nd project, it looks like you put the silver beads onto the base cord between the lark's head knots. Right? Thanks for a great tutorial!
Macrame demistified!! Thanks so much for this video

You're so talented and what a gift you have and shared it with everyone. Thank you so so much. The thin cord you used for the beautiful blue stone, was that 1mm or less. Again thank you. 😀
So cool!!!
I would love to see the coin tutorial & how that's done! Is it the same process? Wonderful video, thank you
espectacular me encanto .... saludos y lo voy hacer ... besitos
How much material do you need to start this and make it? I need to cut some lengths because I have one large ball of hemp that I'm using. I'd like to try this project as soon as I can. Thanks
que lindo me encanta
Gracias , es lo que estaba buscando
@Alissa Jade- The string is usually about as long as the stone is around, +some for the necklace part. @Ding Ding- In the beginning they show that the cords/strings is as far apart as the stone is thick. You might be tying your strings too loosely & that resulted in the stone slipping around. Try tightening it some around the stone & see if that works.

I wish there would have been some explaining of what you are doing while doing it and also some slow motion when you do your first knots so we clearly see which string goes above and under, etc. But still, very useful video. Thanks!
