Yes. I feel so grateful, worshiping Him, in a time, whereas, I am asking for nothing. He has given me perfect health, peace and needs...It is so gratifying to fall so in love with Him, right now...while all is good. I will have already established a bond, when my journey turns back to difficulties.

I just found a couple days ago that my best friend is bi which kinda shook me and it kinda effected me because I would have never thought her out of all people she would be bi. Worship is obedience. That's where it starts and ends. Shouting, listening to music, dancing, etc is based in emotions. Obedience or following His commandments is how we show God that we love Him. There is no greater worship then obedience. That's why God says the true worshippers will worship in Spirit and truth. Your spirit is aligned with the Holy Spirit and submits. And truth is His Word, His commandments, His laws. Put the music down and focus on obeying His Word.

Just a Servant. This has been on my heart too, and I was a worship leader., Sometimes it seemed to be just people singing in a trance-like emotional exuberance and not really worshipping God and not hearing from Him......Many folk did not want the Word and teaching/preaching, thoughtn ot unnecessary, were not able to ' listen'...either to others in conversation or even in prayer,, or to a preacher. I felt guilty for perhaps being judgmental...but it grieved me.,

Eilidh AH Cameron. Your right. I see it so many times. People get caught up in the emotional aspect of praise and worship but don't experience the deeper things of God that lead to permanent change. As long as you speak to people with love and compassion about these things, you are not being judgemental. But make sure you pray about these things and let the Spirit of God guide you.

I’ve changed my worship music lineup in the last few months. I suddenly realize that a lot of worship music was not always biblical and sometimes they would repeat so often it became mindless! The Bible says to worship God with all our heart, MIND, and soul. It’s really hard to find scripture-based and doctrinally-sound worship songs that reflect an excited expression of God‘s goodness. He is worthy of our praise!!!

Heather. so true. broke my heart when I learned that not all songs about Jesus are anointed even amongst some of the most traditional styled ones. now worship is often more about talent than the lifting up of Jesus that's why I rather sing a song from my heart than use music. Gospel is becoming too much about entertainment.

amen...... it blew me away the first time someone said worship is a lifestyle not just a slow song during praise and worship after two fast ones. worship is a funny word. it's like love. you think it's an emotion but rather it's emotions and thoughts that leads to action. in addition cooperate worship is an overflow of personal worship time . not a display of your spirituality but just being a blessing to God.

Come To The Alter is one of my faves. Such a beautiful song. My husband and I are musicians and love singing to the Lord. I think if we realized that worship is so much more than a song (it's it's in the life that we live) then when we come to sing and dance before the Lord, that time would be so much more incredible.

As a white man who has always loved it when Black people worship cause they take it downright serious. Plus it shows when you reach out to all different Ethnic groups that you have the fruits of the spirit. A true believer must have them cause thats how we determine if they are true and not wolfs in sheeps clothing. Look them up brothers and sisters and may YAH BLESS YOU FOR helping people get to the savior.

I am studying God’s love to reconcile my fire of bitterness and anger in exchange for His consuming fire of peace and joy. My Bishop said that it starts with worshipping God in spirit and in truth. I’m a very technical person who did not grow up in a Christian church. I appreciate the thorough lesson and how beautiful you sound in your introduction. If you do not desire to worship or you just get lost all the time in your mind. I recommend you worship everyday 5-10-15-20 minutes. For me is so hard to focus on worship I have get better at this, as I worship everyday, but still costs me to desire worship God, I love to read my bible and pray, but worship is so hard, I have get better with this tip, I just need to learn how to foucs even more, I hope this is encouraging ❤

#1 Be intimate with the Lord to have a better connection for better worship. #2 Know all the ways of worship; sing, dance, shout, raise your hands, kneel, or mediate on the things the Lord has done in your life. #3 Be focused on worship. Do not worry about activities that you will later do that day before and during worship. #4 Prepare for worship. Pray before worship starts to prepare your heart to be open up fully to the Lord. #5 Do not worry about the songs. Worship is for the Lord so don't worry if the song is one you don't like. #6 Worship daily to be able to PRACTICE it. Worship isn't something you can do fine tune it for the Lord. Take notes to remember the great information THE BEAT provides!

i come from the same background you do Brother Allen being typically frowned upon when lifting your hands in praise or shouting or anything of that type but I've started to not care what people think and just not be ashamed of worshipping God and that He is worthy of all worship. “Don’t Cry” by Kirk Franklin is absolutely one of the most beautifully executed songs. It’s been moving me to tears since i was a young teen and I’m now approaching the age of 31. “Now behold the Lamb” by Kirk Franklin is great as well.

I grew up in a southern baptist church and I can attest to the stiff and conservative way things are during service.. BUT once and a while I would visit at my mamaws church and that church still has an impact on my soul. Southern baptist but the singing and worshiping at that church was amazing! Most was my mamaws family members and they would harmonize and the music was set to a bluegrass feel.. they would pour themselves into the music and you would see sweat and their veins bulging from shouting the music.. it was beautiful. That was the 80’s.. and that church is probably long gone by now.. I live far away and most of her family is gone to God along with her.. but I now go on Spotify and have created a bluegrass gospel playlist that I love to listen to.

I used to feel so uncomfortable during worship time at church. And I feel really bad about this because I know that God wants us to worship him. But after seeing this I feel better now because I know now that I just didn't know how to worship, so now I k ow I just have to practice. I really like listening and singing along to "The Greatness of Our God" by Newsboys and "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me. I don't wait for Sunday to worship. Praise God everyday, everyway, everywhere!

My man has a voice! Thank you for all that you do for God. I've worshipped in everyone of those ways described via David. I worship with all types of gospel music. Old school gospel (how great thou art, old rugged cross), current music like casting crowns or newsboys, rap with Toby Mac or lacrae, rock like skillet and heavy metal like red or demon hunter. God speaks to me in so many types of music. I often put my Christian playlist on shuffle and ask God to choose the music. I can tune out the word and focus on Jesus. It is an amazing experience.

Very true... Alot of people go to church 🚗💨to just listen.. N go back home the same with sin, Unforgiviness.. Etc. Let's try to get to church on time praise and worship him.. For if u enter his presence with praise he will enter your situation with power.

I was really moved by this video. I feel worship is so important but yet I know it is something I need to do much more often. Thank you right now I am having hard time with the ppl about true worship. I am teaching the kids how to worship God how to love him with all our heart, soul, and mind. I have the older adults disagree with me and i am fighting them stating how does God really wants us to sing what is true worship. I told my kids to dance, sing, scream, make music with the kids and not worry about the ppl.
