I wired my subs to my girls nipple piercings @ 1ohm when she was sleeping...and now I'm single. Can you tell me how to re-wire my subs back up to get my girl back? Thanks man, you're a real life saver.

hey sonic i followed this guide but i have a question. Does the length of the jumpers from one sub to the other sub make a difference? I have a ported box and I'm wiring them down to 1 ohm but the jumper will be like 4 feet long. is that okay?

What if your wiring subwoofers in an enclosure with two sets of speaker binding post? I have 2 dual 1 ohm subs an the wiring diagram that came with the is different. I have each sub wired as you do here but straight to each binding post. Giving 0.5 ohm per sub. Then running 2 positive an 2 negative leads from a single channel mono block amp. Wouldn't that read as a 0 ohm load to the amp? Should I be using a jumper from one terminal to the other on the speaker enclosure?

So if you originally have 2 svc 4 ohm 12” subs rated at 150w rms on a 2 channel amp. If you wire it in parallel at 2 ohm would it still require the same amount rms or more?

You can fit whatever subs your enclosure can fit, and thus whatever enclosure will fit in your vehicle. Two 12" subs facing up will have great linear movement, there should be no problems with that setup.

I have 2 dvc 4 ohm 12's in a slot ported box with port on one side. Its wired exactly as shown and the sub closest to the port plays louder. Its most noticeable at low volume. Do I have a bad sub?

How do you run these to the amp just into 1 channel can you make 2 dual voice coil 4 ohms into amp at 2 ohms 1 speaker on each channel?

You could wire the Dual 4 ohm subs in parallel to get them to a 1 ohm load, that would be the ticket. We have wiring guides on our website and the manual for your product should also have wiring guides.

Your subs are perfectly fine. The reason the sub closest to the port is louder is because its sucking/hogging all the air from the port so there is less air getting to the sub farther away from the port. you need to fix up your box so it get air evenly or get a new one.

hi there, i need some help, ive watched this video a number of times , i had a pair of pioneer dual 4's and measured the voice coils with a mac tools multimeter and they read 2.5 ohm per coil? no where near 4ohms, i have just purchased another two brand new pionner dual 4ohm subs and they are stable at about 3.0 to 3.4 ohm per coil... why are all 4 of my subs no where near 4ohms as they should be..the old ones i have are about 5 years old ,new ones got today. help !!

You Dual 4 ohm subwoofers need to be wired in parallel to see a 1 ohm load at the amplifier. This would be the optimum wiring configuration. Find that woofer on our website and we have a wiring tab that will show you how to do it. As the the enclosure, you can drill a hole through that wall and run your wire through it, so long as you seal it back up.

If ya have two connections on your mono amp it'll be the same as wiring together. Just make sure your two speakers are wired parallel to drop the impedance down. 2 yrs later for those that wanna know😂😮😮

With a 300 watts at 2 ohms monoblock. 2 subs with 300 rms and 4DVC..... If I make final impedance at 1 ohm does that mean sub will handle both speakers better? Recently got kicker CX600.5. And got 2 CompD 300 watts DVC at 4 ohms. What would be the best way to connect the speakers.

1200. Watts required doubles as you add the speakers. The power is split evenly across the load. If you ran a 600w amp across both, it would only be pushing 300w and also probably cause your amp to over heat with the speakers demanding more from a less supply.

Im about to setup Two Type-R-12D4 subs to an XAX-1200 powerbass amplifier. What would you recommend the best way to wire my subs? My amplifier is 1 ohm stable so I'm assuming that 1 ohm is the way to maximize performance here. it's a ported box, there's no way you can mess up the pressure, lol. I argued this with my cousin who knows this shit for a long time.

Joshua Wagener how do you get 3000w? 750+750=1500, therefor you need a mono block amp rated at 1500rms x1 @1ohm.. then 1500rms going to (2) subs, so 1500/2=750rms

Man, I'd love to have a good set of NVX dual 2 ohm DVC 15s. I have a set of Sundown Audio SA12-D2 subs in a divided box with two Aeroport 12"x6" ports on a Sundown SAI-1750D amp in my Beemer that runs at 1 ohm and they pound, but I just bought a cheap set of Rockville W15K9D4 subs that I plan on wiring down to 1 ohm as well with a 2.1 cubic foot 38 hz divided sealed box and I'm excited to hear if there's a difference in my 1 series BMW. I had to REALLY make the box fit and it fills my fairly large trunk while the dual 12" box fits easily. It's just been a while since I had a couple 15s.

Edward Weisenseel you can but is better to bridge them if your amp can handle 10hm you will use your amp and subs to their fullest

This is to sonic electronics I just bought an 2400 watt 1D amp and when I have them ran 1 ohm it does not sound good at all and when I unplug one it sounds OK but not like it should I had a 2000 watt power acoustic but RMS is 1200 watts worked perfectly until it blew that is all I changed out any ideas

Have you tried playing each one alone to make sure neither are blown? And power acoustic amps arent very good.

I need help, I am going to be buying 2 Alpine Type-R 12D4's and a Hifonics Brutus BRX24000.1d amp. I was wondering if it is possible to wire these down to 1 ohm? Or would it be better to wire it down to 2 ohms? Any reply would be helpful

Hook up the pos on one side then the neg on the other side.So pos skip that sides neg then neg on other side and skip that sides pos.

My impedance fluctuates more than .2, could I have possibly wired wrong? Goes from 2 to 0.5 Ohms, any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes you definitely can! Just wire your subs in parallel to 1 ohm and connect it right up to that amp, which is 800W RMS at 1 ohm.
