I'm a bit new to all this stuff for rvs and little by little I'm trying to upgrade my old rv electrical including with solar on a budget. my main current is I'm hoping I can clean up te wires at the battery. can I run a buss bar bur and both positive and negative side of the battery The battery current has all charging sources including a 12 volt fuse box that has all hots and all grounds which I'm lost because all the grounds are not connected at the fuse box however it has a negative main lead that's currently getting power I think form an older bus bar that has several negative leads going to i don't know where at the moment. Originally, i was only going to run a thicker ground between the fuse box to the bus bar thing as I hadn't figured out the negative wire run form the battery to that bus bar. Im bow wondering if I should remove that bus bar negative and should run it directly to the fuse box negatives and rund the main negative directly to the battery. on the battery side if the wires I was planing to add a second bus bar from the 12 volt fuse box on both positive and negatives with the alternator, battery, generator, and soalr panel controller. not surr if you follow my writing as I suck at 😂

Dought you still read the posts but maybe someone can help me out here I bought a 6 switch panel it has 3 in-line fuses hooked up to accy plug, outage reader, usb plugs, hoping I d done correctly. I cut out the online fuses cause I’m running those 3 into a fuse panel, I also soldered the accy plug/usb plug together they both go to positive, won’t ever be running both together, if I plug spot light into accy plug there won’t be anything in usb Plug. Now I’m left with the following wires: *Black-labeled goes to negative side of battery *Yellow-labeled goes to negative side of battery *Blue-positive side of battery *red- tfhe I line fuses I wired together to hv 1 red wire Middle plug is voltage running also positive but seperate by itself as to get good voltage reading. I am running all wires to a fuse block panel, Red wire from positive side of battery, to bottom of fuse panel *black wire from negative side of battery to top of fuse panel, all black wires From my acts will bolt o to beg side of fuse panel, rest of red wires will run to slots in fuse panel. I got this correct, don’t I? A y help greatly appreciated

I have a stupid question, yet a question that has been bugging me for weeks nonetheless: If you have a negative buss-bar with all of your negatives hooked up, including your negative from your battery, does the buss-bar need to have a direct line to the chassis for a ground? Or is there a ground running from the battery itself to the chassis? Thank you in advance

The only thing i dont like about these switch panels is that all of your power for everything comes in through that one single power wire. Depending on what devices you're powering, things could get very hot and firey quickly. Mightnt be a bad idea to use each switch to power a relay instead or rewire each switch to take power individually, maybe from a positive bus bar instead. I know this is a basics video, just some thoughts 👍🏻😀
