great video, thank you. this was exactly what I was looking for. yo umentioned that you can bypass the hardware chime all together, how do I do that (basically power->Transformer->SmartDoorbell)?

great video. Is connecting to the chime mandatory as bridge or I can connect the transformer to the smart doorbell directly?

Why in the ring tutorial shows a jumper cable between transformer and front?

I don’t want shock my self wouldn’t it be safer to shut the breaker off. That is my only problem trying to find the breaker for the door bell. What do electricians label the door bell breaker. I checked my breaker box and I didn’t see a breaker for the doorbell .

Hey man I removed a ring doorbell and am wanting to install a feit wired doorbell. For whatever reason I can’t get the doorbell to power on even though I am metering out 13v at the cable that was previously landed on the ring doorbell. Do you know what I can do to fix this?

maybe a diode is hiding somewhere, your 13v should be AC, but most smart doorbells work on DC with a small diode hidden somewhere in the wiring. Verify its AC instead of DC (put the multimeter on AC, if its ac it shows voltage, if its dc it doesnt show voltage)

Same for me. And it also doesn‘t power on. I don‘t know if it is because my transformer is to weak.
