Well this has been informative. I have a 98 Suzuki sport and i really do not understand how my headlights actually work . I am wanting to plug in the relay from the high beam wire #86 as in my local that is law .

How well will this circuit hold up to moisture? I tend to get a lot of water and mud splashed up into my engine compartment when I wheel my Jeep. I am concerned I may need to purchase a fuse/relay box that is water tight.

Question for you I want my fog lights to be like factory where they go off when the bright lights come on. This is a on a 07’FJ Cruiser. Can I come off the low beam wire on the headlights to the toggle to run the switch in the relay. Hope I’m clear, been watching and learning.

Few questions hope you're able to answer, how do I make sure that the bulbs are as bright as they can be, I used this to wire up my headlights (h4), if I want it brighter would i need a different bulb, thicker wires, or switch out the inline fuse for a higher amp? ty for you time!

Can you run more than 1 supply wire from your fuse block in order to power multiple switches with the same terminal? At what point is it bad to keep adding switches to the same terminal?

Great video. I have sort of a backward application of a relay and wonder if this will work. I have a 12V refrigerator in my car that will run off the car's 12v or 12v powered by a 115vac brick. I'm trying to use a relay to change the INPUT voltage from battery if the relay is not energized and power it from the brick if the power is coming from the brick. In this case, the refrigerator will fro the car when I am driving and automatically run at a campsite when I hook up to 115vac. Fridge - to car ground Fridge + to 30 Car 12vdc + to 87a Brick 12vdc + to 87 AND 86 Brick 12vdc - to 85 and Car ground In normal car operation, the fridge is grounded and powered from 87a through 30 into refrigerator As soon as 115vac is applied to brick, the relay is energized by the brick, and power will go from 87 through 30 into refrigerator Will this work???

So would you just splice that hot wire that is going to the switch if you wanted to add more switches?

Would I be able to use my tailight as a switch? I tried it for some underglow lights because I want them to turn on when I unlock my car and the relay just buzzes so I know something is wrong

yeah but you don’t run the wire through. the relay .. pigtail off hot side of brake wire to 86 and then ground 85 to chassis or body .. it’s just a signal wire… is that how you wired it?

@@chriscraft77022 so I tapped into my taillight and ran it to 86, my underglow to 87, my fuse/12v to 30 and my ground to 85 to ground. It turns on my underglow when I unlock my car is intended but it doesn't give enough power and the relay just buzzes the whole time
