How To Wind Thread on to a Bobbin | Embroidery Tips

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Lorna explains how to easily wind embroidery thread onto a bobbin, to prepare your thread for storage and make it easier to work with when stitching your projects.
She uses a skein of Perle 12 thread in the demo as this is one that many people have difficulties with. You'll need something to wind your thread around such as two chairs or a stool, plus a bobbin and a small piece of felt or wadding.

Thank you, my gran used to have me hold my hands out for her yarn when I was a little girl.

Thank you so much for this helpful video - I just realized that the same technique applies to both a hank of thread or a hank of yarn for unwinding. Duh to me! 😂 (I am a knitter. 😅) The padding tip is brilliant btw!

Don't forget to write the color number of the stranded cotton, floss or perle, onto the bobbins. Pat-South Padre Island, Texas
